Started From the Bottom ~~ Part 3

****Mariah's POV****

I paced back and forth backstage, nervous about my first ever TV performance. I've put out my first single called "Love Takes Time" and it's been all over the radio here up north. This is a national television performance and after that I have an interview....I can't believe this is really happening to me. I recorded the song with L.A. Reid only about 3 months ago, and it was released about 3 weeks ago. It's on the Billboard charts and everything....me, little ol' Mariah, has a debut single that is already charting. (A/N: I know that Mariah's first single was Vision of Love and that Love Takes Time was her second one, but I really love Love Takes Time so I'm making that her debut single in the story)

"Next, we have a performance by an up and coming star. With the release of her very first song, this artist has wowed us with her beautiful voice and her insanely wide vocal range. Her to perform her single, 'Love Takes Time', Mariah Carey!!" the host announced, then I walked out on stage. (A/N: video of the performance above; watch it cause it's one of the best, if not THE best, performances by Mariah....and she hits the whistle register so beautifully in this)
