Emersyn
The iron was burning through me from the inside out by the time I got to the Osther Hotel. The Osther Hotel was a safe haven for all things preternatural and one of the owners was a doctor and healer. If I could get there, the freaks following me wouldn't be able to get me and maybe, just maybe I wouldn't die and I could find my friend.
Blood was soaking through my workout shirt and down my pants when I stepped onto the wide wrap around porch. The pain was almost unbearable now. There was blackness around the edges of my vision. I was able to press the doorbell before my knees gave out. The male that opened the door was huge, and a Werelion. He looked down at me.
"O, you should see this," he said.
"I need sanctuary," I uttered.
"What is it Dynis," a low male voice said.
A slightly smaller male appeared in the door way next. He looked down at me with curiosity at first. His eyes caught my attention. They were bright gold and electricity crackled around his pupil.
He was mostly wolf and his eyes should have been amber, but it was obvious that his demi-god DNA was stronger.
"Please help me," I moaned.
"Get off of my land, fae. We don't help your kind here," he said.
"Please! If you don't help me I will die. I just need this bullet out."
Tears spilled down my eyes.
"Its only iron. It should be no trouble for an Alpha wolf like you. Please! You can even do it right here, but I warn you there are humans chasing me," I coughed out.
Dynis looked at the second male who finally nodded. Dynis lifted me up and carried me inside. My vision faded in and out and suddenly we were in an operating room. The second male, O aka Octavian Osther, ripped my shirt open and inspected the wounds. He touched them timidly and I screamed.
"God, get them out," I cried.
"You watch too many movies. My sister is a doctor and she said that taking a bullet out does more damage," O said.
"That won't matter. I will heal as soon as the iron is out of my flesh. Go get the doctor so I can get out of here," I said.
"My sister is not here. I will have to do. I don't want to kill you," he said, though his eyes said otherwise.
"I am immortal, do as much damage as you need to," I uttered before passing out.
It only lasted for a second before the blinding pain of a scalpel cutting into my flesh brought me awake. I screamed as Dynis held me down and O dug around for the first bullet. It felt like hours before he pulled the slug out and dropped it into the pan. I wanted to thank him, but I passed out again.
I woke up and it was dark outside. There was an iron cuff around my ankle and the giant lion was standing near the foot of the bed. I had traded one capturer for another, apparently.
"So, I'm your prisoner now," I asked in a rough voice.
"My boss just wants to ask you a couple of questions and then you will be free to go," Dynis said.
"Good. I'm kinda in a rush," I said.
He left the room and returned moments later with O. Now that I wasn't dying I got the chance to look at him. He was gorgeous, but then Gold Wolves have always been known for their good looks. Those strange eyes were surrounded by Hollywood good looks and long blond hair. He was around six feet tall and wore the muscles that all alpha wolves seemed to have.
