Elfrida
Time seemed to move so slowly without anything to keep me occupied. Amanda had fallen asleep not long after the man left. I couldn't sleep, I was too worried about Emersyn but when she never showed up I felt a lot better. Hopefully she had made it to the Osther hotel. It was the only place around there that I knew could help her and keep her safe.
For a while I paced. My eagle could feel the moon light even locked in the darkness of my subconscious and I knew it was well after midnight. My body was far from tired and I figured that was from being drugged and sleeping for almost 24 hours.
Even with my high level of intelligence, I was having a hard time coming up with an escape plan. Though I am more than sure all the women in here had been trying to come up with escape plans the whole time they had been in here. So, what could I possibly come up with that none of them had?
"Emersyn, I hope like hell that you are alright and trying to find me," I said out loud.
Finally, I found an empty mattress and lay down. Sleep took me almost immediately. While I slept, I dreamed of Emersyn being in trouble and I was in a glass case unable to do anything more than watch.
                              I came awake screaming.
I expected Amanda to be the one shaking me awake, instead it was a woman I didn't recognize, though for some reason she seemed really familiar. She was strikingly beautiful. She had long golden blonde hair, gold skin and eyes like liquid gold with a spark of lightning around her pupil. She had Cupid's bow lips, a roman nose and a roundish face.
"You were freaking some of the other women out and I didn't want you to draw the unwanted attention of our captures," she said in a cultured voice.
                              "Sorry, bad dream," I said.
"I kinda figured. I saw you talking to Amanda, do you two know each other," the woman asked.
She was looking at me with a mixture of curiosity and desire that I found intoxicating.
"Yeah, I volunteer at the Preternatural Women's Shelter where she lives."
"Really, I'm the doctor that comes in every week to check on the residents," the woman said.
"So, do you think whoever took us mistook you as one of the residents," I asked.
"I'm sure of it. Same thing with you," she asked, and I nodded.
The woman took a seat on the mattress next to me and held her hand out.
"I'm Octavia Osther," she said with a smile.
"I am," I started but Octavia cut me off.
"You are Elfrida Ghentrie, journalist and news reporter for channel 12," she finished for me.
                              "Yup, that's me," I said.
"It's lovely to meet you Ms. Ghentrie. Too bad it's under these circumstances. If you ever want to interview me about the Osther Hotel, I would be more than happy," Octavia said, and it sounded like she was actually flirting with me.
I wondered if this just a side effect of the moon fever or if she was really interested. It was the first night of the full moon tonight and even though none of us could shift, it wouldn't stop the need to mate from tearing through this place like no ones' business.
                              So, I decided to ask.
"A little of both. I've kept tabs on your career so far and I like what I see," she said.
I stared at her in amazement.
"But you are thee Octavia Osther, owner of the Osther Hotel," I said.
