Elfrida
Claw was frozen in fear as I stood there. Whoever was on the phone was asking Claw if he was still alone. I took a step forward and Claw stood up so suddenly that his chair hit the wall behind him.
"I told you I would kill you for what you have done," I said, and he made an eep sound before dropping the phone.
"My men will be here soon. You won't make it out of here alive," he stammered.
"My friends took care of all the men you have in this place. So, unless you can pull men out of your ass, I think I have the upper hand here," I commented.
"There are secret tunnels all over the place. I called them in as soon as your friends set off the alarm," He said backing away as I came around the desk toward him.
His back hit the wall. He was such a big man when I was strapped to that table, but now that I was here in front of him with nothing between my power and him, he was nothing. The stench of his fear and humanity excited my Eagle. She screamed her joy at having her prey so close.
"They won't get here in time to save you, Claw. I will make you pay," I screamed at him.
"Even if you do kill me, my work will live on. I'm just one piece of the puzzle," he said trying to sound brave, but I could smell his fear and hear the tremor in his voice.
"Once I expose this place with everything you told me, I'm sure it won't be hard to discover the rest," I said.
I used my magic to form my finger into a scalpel like blade. He tried to dash passed me but never made it an inch from where he was originally standing. I grabbed his throat with my other hand and slammed him into the wall so hard it shook. He gasped in pain as his breath left him in a whoosh of air. I put the blade to his face and slowly moved it downward. I could feel as the blade separated his flesh.
He let out as loud a scream as my hand around his throat would allow. The scent of urine filled the small office. I screwed up my face as the wet spot grew on the front of his pants. I knew this was a man that had never faced consequences or any real justice. Until now.
"I just need to take a little blood," I said.
"You will pay," he groaned as I cut his face again.
I slammed him against the wall again.
"I need tears now," I said.
The hatred I had seen from this man when I was strapped to the table, made an appearance then. I squeezed his throat a little harder. His face was beginning to turn dark red.
"I will never show you weakness like that," he managed to get out.
"You've already pissed yourself. Tears would have been a step up compared to that. If you won't give me tears I'll take hair and skin," I said.
I put the flat of the blade against his skin and began to pull. I eased the pressure on his throat so that he was able to scream, which he did. The skin began to peel off easily and I began to feel a little sick to my stomach. Emersyn was usually the one to use torture as payment for the horrific things people had done. Though I had been in many battles, I had never been one for making people hurt. My vision wavered for a moment.
Claw took the opportunity to shove me away from him. He caught me off guard and I fell against the desk hitting my head hard enough that I saw stars. A thin line of silvery blood leaked down from just above my temple.
"Asshole," a voice came from behind us.
For a moment I thought it was Emersyn finally finding me, but it wasn't. It was Octavia standing in the door way. She must have come in just in time to see Dr. Claw push me down because she looked furious. She walked into the room and the lights above her exploded with the power of her electric aura.
I was momentarily enraptured by how beautiful she looked with her power upon her. In many was she reminded me of Emersyn. They were beautiful, talented and extremely powerful. The only difference being that Octavia might actually love me the way that Emersyn never would. Octavia knelt next to me and lightly touched the wound on my head that was already starting to heal. Then she laid a gentle kiss next to it.
"You should have just killed him, my dear," she said.
"I know but I wanted him to suffer as we all have. As you have for the last three months. He has to pay," I said.
"I know he does but you don't have to be the one to do it. Let's bring him to Octavian and Emersyn. They will make sure he gets what he deserves," she said.
"My men will be here in two minutes and both of you will die," he said.
He was moving away from us toward the back wall of the office. Octavia looked at him with hatred in her eyes. I could tell that she was more ruthless than I could ever be, just like Emersyn.
"My brother is going to rip you into pieces. Your men won't be able to do anything to stop it," she hissed at him.
"You lead the way, Frida."
Octavia grabbed Dr. Claw and hauled him over to the doorway when the wall panel moved to the side revealing an entrance. He hadn't been lying about the secret tunnels. Voices were coming from the entrance and I knew we needed to get out of there. Claw was dragging his feet and looking over his shoulder for his men. Tavi shoved him forward into the hall way as men with guns moved into the office.
