Elfrida
My heart started pounding when the alarm began blaring throughout the building. All of the women sprung to their feet while I remained kneeling. I stuck my arms through the bars and began moving the IV needle around in the key hole. It only took 30 seconds to pick the lock.
"It's go time," I called over the blaring siren.
I swung the door open and the women filed out of the cell in the formation we had decided on earlier with Nubia and Tavi leading the charge. I was out last. We quickly moved through the door into the operating room and Nubia quickly dispatched of the guard that was blocking the other door.
The room beyond was bare in terms of furniture but 5 guards were waiting for us. After being in that cell with the dampeners on full blast it took our abilities a while to come back but when they did it felt like I stuck by lightning. I quickly summoned weapons for all of the women, who gasped in surprise.
"Our abilities are back," I yelled.
There was a round of cheers before the women descended on the guards taking them out quickly. It felt good holding my blades again and even better watching Amanda, Nubia and the others getting their revenge on the people who had kidnapped us. I kept a watchful eye on the women who were more interested in getting the hell out of here than fighting while looking for any signs of the good doctor. We got through the empty room and came to an elevator and a stair well. With the alarm going off the elevator wouldn't work, and the stair well was locked.
"What's the problem," I asked.
"Door is locked and made of a combination of silver and iron and coated in holy water," Tavi said.
"No way you could possibly force the lock with your electricity," I asked.
"Nope. It's just a regular lock," she said.
"What about forcing the elevator to work," Amanda asked.
"We could try that, but I think that would just make us sitting ducks," Tavi said.
I cursed and tried to figure out how we were going to get off this level.
"I could knock the door down," one of the quieter women said.
"What are you," I asked.
"My father was a warrior angel and my mother was a Halen Succubus. The door won't affect me," she said.
I motioned her forward. She cocked her leg back and kicked the door so hard it flew off of the hinges and slammed against the wall. I gave her my brightest smile before we fell back into formation and began to climb the stairs. I could hear gun fire and thunder rumbling somewhere on the floors above us.
Octavia shot a grin my way. There was no way that thunder wasn't coming from Emersyn and Octavian. We were so close to being rescued I could practically taste it. We came out of the stair well into a lab area. There were scientists, doctors and guards waiting for us. The scientist and doctors had fear coming off of them in waves. There were way too many lycanthropes in the room for that. With the dampener down the women could shift now.
Some went full animal, while others shifted half way or only parts of their body like teeth and nails. The non-lycanthrope women kept the blades I'd summoned for them and went after the guards while the others took out the doctors, nurses, scientists and lab techs as they tried to run for the exit.
Among them was one of the nurses from last night. I grabbed her by her hair and dragged her over to a corner. She was shaking in her boots and that only served to excite my Eagle further.
