Elfrida

I felt it the moment the sun went down. My eagle screamed in celebration as the moon fever burned through my veins. I glanced over at Octavia who had been napping on the mattress beside mine. She wasn't awake yet, but I figured her wolf wouldn't let her stay asleep now that the moon was coming out. The few women in here that weren't lycanthropes huddled together in a corner.

Not that I blamed them. Moon fever and blood lust were almost identical to those who had never felt the difference. Not to mention the fact that most of the women here were heterosexual and even with the moon burning they would not turn to another female's attentions to slake the fever. As far as I could tell Octavia and I were the only two gay females in the whole group.

I couldn't help but wonder what would happen when the moon was fully out. The other lycans were likely to rip each other and everyone else in the cell a part. The best that everyone could hope for was that they were drugged all night. Octavia stirred. I ran my fingers through her silk like hair.

"Hi," she said her voice scratchy with sleep.

"Hi. Did you sleep well," I asked.

"As well as can be expected considering the situation. What time is it," she asked.

"After 4 o'clock. True dark was only minutes ago," I said.

"Thank the moon this place doesn't have windows. The moon's rays would just intensify the fever," she said.

She rubbed her hands up and down her arms. Her strange gold eyes had faded to a color that was closer to amber and I knew it was her wolf coming to the surface of her consciousness. The moon fever was raging through her, too. I wished we were alone.

"It would be nice to have just a little privacy," Tavi said quietly.

"I was just thinking that. You don't suppose we could hang a sheet from the top of the bars," I suggested.

"That just might work but the higher the moon gets the more dangerous it's going to be inside this cage. And I would hate to be interrupted by a crazed lycanthrope looking to feed the blood lust," Tavi said.

Her fingers trailed down my arm and I shivered. Her touch was like kindling for the fire that was already raging through me. I looked at her and she had the sexiest smile on her face. I leaned over and kissed her passionately, drawing the attention of all the other women. She kissed me back with just as much fire, if not more.

When we separated, we were both struggling to catch our breath. She suddenly stood up and yanked the sheet from her own mattress. She tied two of the corners to bars and tucked the other corners under the mattress we had been sitting on, effectively creating a tent like space. Sure, from the outside of the cell you could see everything, but the door was on the other side and I was sure we would know if any of our captures came in.

Tavi smiled as she pulled me into the makeshift tent. I shot a worried glance at the others but Octavia's gentle fingers on my face helped me forget that they were even there. She kissed me again as she pulled me down onto the mattress with her.

"What about the others," I asked.

"We need to relieve ourselves first before we can help any of them," she reasoned and kissed me again.

"That's true," I whispered as her lips traveled down my neck.

She kissed, licked and bit at the sensitive skin over my pulse point, making me whimper with desire. Tavi pulled my shirt over my head and pushed me back on the mattress. Then she was over me, one hand steadying her, the other playing with my nipple. I moaned for her and she rewarded me with another kiss. The moon fever roared between the two of us like a raging fire.
