Emersyn

An hour passed before I figured out which computer program was the right one and in that time Octavian barely moved. I wondered if the blade had done more damage than I had thought. My attention was torn between the werewolf chained to his own bed and the blinking red light that was traveling far away from Tosa.

The moon fever had me sweating through my clothes and after a little I stripped out of my sweater and leather pants. I was watching the tracker when a tall male with skin the color of fresh mahogany walked into Octavian's room. I was more than relieved when I realized that he wasn't any type of lycanthrope. And then I saw his eyes. They glowed bright purple and I knew he was a Vainin Incubus.

"Hello," he said, looking me up and down.

There was hunger in his eyes. Not the same as the moon fever but similar. I stared at him, the fever making me want him so badly it hurt. I held my hand up to warn him from coming closer.

"The fever," I whispered.

"I am not here for that. Dynis sent me to check on Octavian. But if the fever is still upon you once he recovers, then I can definitely help you out," his voice was like velvet against my burning skin.

I moved out of his path and pressed my hand to the cool glass. The tracker was still moving across the screen, heading northwest now. As soon as it stopped I was out of here. I glanced at Octavian laid out in his bed. Dynis had taken the time to take his shirt off so I could check the wound, but it also allowed me to look over his glorious body.

His tight six pack contracted as he panted in his sleep. His arms were almost as wide as my thighs and even in pain he was hot. The incubus looked him over and didn't look worried as he turned to me. He caught me staring at Octavian and chuckled. I turned an annoyed gaze on him.

"What?"

"He's not a fan of the fae and as long as I have known him, he has never lain with a fae, even one as outrageously sexy as you. But like I said, I will be more than willing," he said.

"If I am fae as you say the moon fever would not burn in my veins," I said. "So, you do want him?"

"He is nice to look at," I said, almost lying.

"Don't let it get too bad fae, I wouldn't want to be facing a tiger and a wolf," he said.

"My name is Emersyn not Fae," I said.

"I'm Cayde," he said.

Cayde came over to me, he looked down at me. I resisted the urge to go up on tiptoe to kiss him.

"You have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, Emersyn," he said touching my face.

Before I could even react, there was a sound of metal snapping. Cayde and I looked at Octavian at the same time. He was sitting up in the bed, staring at the two of us. His eyes were fully amber, and I could feel his fever from where we stood by the window.

"Get away from her Cayde," Octavian said, his voice more a growl than anything a human throat could make.

Cayde took a step back and looked at his friend.

"O, what's the problem bro. You've never had a problem with me taking my pleasure in the rush of the moon fever," Cayde said eyeing me seductively.

"Get out Cayde. Find your pleasure somewhere else," Octavian said.

I was practically shaking with desire. I'd had my moon fever under control when it was just my own I had to worry about. But now Octavian's desire practically filling the room it was like being sucked under water. Cayde shrugged and walked out of the room. I dashed for my clothes and headed for the door but by the time I got there Octavian was standing in the door way. He stared at me and I felt like a defenseless little rabbit with the wolf's teeth already around my throat.
