Just a Girl(Tazuki x Reader) (How to Keep A Mummy Fanfiction)

Chapter 3

     Tazuki's POV     

     It was time for lunch so I went up to the roof where Sora and I usually eat, but today he was late. I waited until he arrived. He came up to the roof with the new girl in our class. "Tazuki, (L/N) will be eating with us today!" He said. "Okay." I replied. The girl called (L/N) sat down against the wall and ate her food. 

     "Tazuki, I need you to come over after school. It's urgent" He said to me.

     "Sure." I agreed. I kind of felt bad for (Y/N) since we were making plans in front of her. So, I did the right thing to do. 

     "(L/N), why don't you join us?"

     Sora then glanced at me nervously. I am really hoping that the reason he wants me to come over is not something related to his dad or we're screwed.

     "Are you sure? I don't want to intrude..." (L/N) said.

     "Not at all, (L/N)! You're welcome to come over!" Sora said, doing his best to be enthusiastic. 

     "In that case, I'd love to come over! And by the way, you can just call me (Y/N). I never really liked being called by my last name so..." She trailed off.

     "Sure thing!" Sora responded. I nodded.

     (Y/N) POV

     I headed to my house to drop of my bag and to get Cosmo. I had already left Cosmo alone for most of the day and I don't really want to leave him unsupervised for any longer. I knew I couldn't let anyone know about Cosmo just yet so I would have to hide him. I walked over to Sora's with Cosmo in my pocket.

      I knocked on the door and Tazuki answered the door. "Hello," I said to him as he stood at the door. "Come on in," He opened the door wider so I could enter. I went into the house and saw Sora cooking. "Hi, Sora!" I greeted. " Can I help you with anything?" Sora turned around and glanced back at me. " Hi (Y/N)! I'm just finishing up. You can take a seat on the couch."

     Sora POV

     Once I had finished cooking, I knew I had to do something about the problem on my hands. I quickly moved out of the kitchen to my room. I then texted Tazuki.

come to my room

why?

Just get over here

    Tazuki POV

     I was sitting next to (Y/N) when Sora had texted me. I knew I had to come up with a pretty good excuse to make her not suspicious of me.

     "I'm going to head to the restroom, I'll be right back." I said as convincingly as I could. She nodded in response.

     I then left the couch to go to Sora's room. 

     Once I had reached the entrance, he dragged me in as quickly as he could.

     "Tazuki, what about "urgent" did not click with you? I assumed you already knew what this meant considering you've stuck around with me for like 10 years!" He aggressively whispered.

     "Well maybe you shouldn't have been making plans right in front of a new person! Especially if those plans include battling some demon your dad sent you." I argued back.

     "Well, for your information, this thing is not as dangerous as the rest of the monsters my dad has sent me. He's actually in here right now..." Sora said as he frantically started looking for whatever creature he got this time. 

     "He's supposed to be in here! Where did he go?!"

     "It's fine. You can show me later. Let's just go before (Y/N) gets suspicious!" I told him as I pushed him out of the room. 

     (Y/N) POV

     While Tazuki and Sora were gone, I had been trying to keep Cosmo quiet. He was being louder than usual and I couldn't seem to figure out why. Then all of a sudden, he had jumped out of my pocket and approached something small on the floor. It was a small white object. A moving object. As soon as I knew it, Cosmo was coming back to me with a small looking mummy on his back.

     "What the...?" Is all I could say. At this point, I was so confused. 

     The mummy looked very attached to Cosmo to say the least. I don't know if I was to be more concerned that there was a walking mummy in my classmate's house or the fact that Tazuki and Sora could walk in at any moment.

     Soon enough, I realized that Tazuki and Sora had come back from whatever they were doing. 

     "Mii?!" Sora exclaimed. "And some blue wolf?"

     "Well, this'll be interesting." Tazuki said as he took a seat on the sofa next to me.

     "Um (Y/N), I know we met just this morning but now that you know about the mummy I guess there is no point in hiding it from you." Sora said while picking up the white creature. "But I have no idea where that blue wolf came from. Zero clue."

    "Actually," I spoke up "That blue wolf thing is mine." I laughed nervously. 

     Tazuki and Sora's eyes widened. 

     "Is it like a normal dog or..." Tazuki asked.

     "I mean now that I know that Sora has some weird mummy thing, I might as well tell you about this guy," gesturing to Cosmo. 

     "So, basically my parents are researchers in Egypt and every now and then they send me weird things, I don't want to go into detail, but this time around they sent me this guy. His name is Cosmo." I explained the best I could.

     "Wait, you're parents send you weird stuff from Egypt too?!" Sora asked with a surprised tone,

     "Yes...?" I responded.

     "My dad is also a researcher in Egypt and he sent me this little guy the other day." Sora said. Just then, Mii had jumped out of Sora's hand and started to run around with Cosmo.

     "I guess they already knew each other before either of them came here. They seem pretty familiar with each other after all," I concluded. 

     "Cosmo," I called out and stopped him from running, "Were you friends with Mii?" I asked the wolf. He then nodded enthusiastically. 

     "So you both have these small creatures that , by coincidence, already know each other?" Tazuki just continued to stare at Mii and Cosmo while they played.

     "That basically sums it up. I mean, there's not that much more to it." I replied.

     "This feels like it's going to be a lot of trouble." Sora gave a very good point. Now that they were brought together, there was no stopping them. All we could do is to try and make the best of a tough situation.

     We spent the next hour familiarizing ourselves with our new situation. Sora and I were trying to stop Tazuki from torturing the poor mummy. It had gotten so bad to the point where Mii couldn't even look at Tazuki. 

     Once it had gotten dark, Tazuki and I had left Sora's house. I hated to separate the two friends but it had to be done. All I can say is that this afternoon was very interesting.
