This chapter will have split POV'S!

Hope's POV:

"Are you excited?" Chance asked, turning his head and looking at me. We were currently in the limo his parents had sent out for us in order to get to the Christmas Party.

"Sure." I replied, my voice calm and collected although I was terrified.

"Hey." Chance began, grabbing my shoulder. I turned and looked at him, my brow raised as his gorgeous grey eyes board into mine.

"It's ok. We're just friends right? Shouldn't be so worried." He chuckled, letting my shoulder go. I couldn't help notice the sadness in his eyes though.

My heart clenched.

"How much longer, Jewels?" Chance asked loudly to our limo driver. The middle aged man looked up into the review mirror.

He glanced down at his Navman dash cam, soon looking back up and quietly replying;

"Just under 10 minutes, sir."

10 minutes.

I had always struggled with Christmas due to my father and his passing around the time of it. Usually I liked to sulk at home with my friends, but this year it was going to be different.

I knew it.

"We're here." Jewels announced.

My heart began to beat harder as I peered out the window of the limo. Jewels had come around my side and opened the door for me.

I thanked him quietly as Chance gave him a firm nod.

"Here." Chance muttered, handing Jewels a crisp 100 dollar bill as a tip. Jewels eyes widened as a grin appeared on his face.

"Merry Christmas, Mr King and a Merry Christmas to you too Miss Fey." He smiled at us and Chance soon extending his hand, shaking Jewels own one.

"Merry Christmas."

"Which venue are we in?" I asked, linking mine and Chance's arms together. Chance looked at his phone, looking back up at the large building.

"It says we aren't even in the building, we're outside instead." Chance spoke, his eyes brows furrowed.

"Well, we should go around the back." I said, Chance grunting in agreement as he began walking. I was practically being dragged alongside him.

He had such long legs.

"Ah huh! Here's the gate. I've never been to the venue outside, I wonder if it's nice." He pondered, walking towards the large, white gate as a security guard stood by it.

As soon as we came near it, the guard instantly stood in front of the gate.

"Name." The guard grunted, his arms crossed as he glared at Chance.

I watched as his eyes morphed into annoyance, soon growling out;

"King. Chance, King."

The guards eyes widened as he instantly stepped to the side and opened the gate for the both of us. Chance grunted with a nod and pulled me along with him.
