Hope's POV:

Not edited x

My mother's funeral was a week ago today.

It was also two weeks ago today since Chance and I had both told each other that we loved one another.

Currently, I sat on the couch, my knees to my chest with a blanket wrapped around my body. My head was pressed against Chance's chest as I felt the vibrations go through me every time he spoke or laughed at something the guys would say.

Wesley, Eli and Kane all sat in Chance's living room. Sage and Nick were out on a holiday and Charlie was at work. I was also supposed to work today but Chance forced me to take the day off and Michael was fine with it, considering everything that was going on.

"It sucked that you weren't able to make it to the photo shoot, Charlie and I would have loved you guys there." Kane said, his arms crossed as he grinned. I quietly looked up as I noticed everyone tensed in the room.

Kane didn't know my mother had died but the others did.

"Why couldn't you make it? We never got a true answer from you guys." Kane said, completely misreading the rooms energy as everyone coughed awkwardly.

"So, crazy weather huh?" Wesley said, trying to change the subject on our behalf.

"Yea, it's so crazy they aren't stocking my yogurts! But I'll be seeing Nieta soon so it's alright. She has some at her house." Eli said, shrugging.

"Who's Nieta?" Kane asked, forgetting his previous question as everyone inwardly sighed.

"A girl he met at the grocery store." Chance replied.

"She had the last packet of chips he wanted. They fought over them and suddenly they 'fell in love'." Wesley said, air quoting and Eli rolled his eyes.

"We are in love!" He argued.

A small smile almost reached my face.

Almost.

"I thought you said love was gross." Wesley challenges.

"Yea everyone else's but mine and Nieta's." He grumbled as a reply.

Chance chuckled, his chest rumbling as I sighed and closed my eyes, basking in his warmth.

"Also next month Eli and I are going to watch car racing, we've invited Nick and Sage and they're down. Do you guys want to come?" Wesley asked, staring at Chance, Kane and I.

"Sure, I'll see if Charlie wants to go." Kane smiled.

Wesley nodded, now turning his attention towards us.

"Oh, I haven't been to one of those since I was a kid. Sure, do you want to go, baby?" Chance asked, kissing the top of my head as I sat still for a moment.

I just nodded, snuggling closer into him.

"You alright Hope? You've been so quiet." Kane asked, concern on his face.

"She-." I cut Chance off.

"I'm fine. I've been feeling really sick, that's all." I replied curtly, the dark circles under my eyes and my pale skin helping my case and Kane nodded.

"Well I hope you feel better-Buzz Buzz- Oh hold on Charlie texted me." He paused his sentence, replying back as Eli said something to Wesley which caused him to roll his eyes.
