"Ten minutes to go!" The assistant stage manager reminded when the boys entered the waiting room to get changed after performing Blood, Sweat & Tears on stage.

With heavy pants, the boys quickly moved to their respective spaces to get changed along with the help of the other staff. From afar, I saw Taehyung slowly approaching me. He looked like he could barely catch his breath, beads of sweat glistened on his forehead as he reached for the couch and stayed seated on the armrest.

"Are you okay? Do you need water?" I studied his face carefully with concern, in the meantime, helping him to take off his cream-colored jacket to replace with the oversized stripe shirt for the last song which was Spring Day.

At that moment, Taehyung looked like he was still struggling to regain the oxygen in his system as he ducked his head. But in the bright room, I noticed how his face was tight and had drained of color.

"Tae?" I called out when he just stayed immobile, slumping a little in his position.

"Jinhee-ah..." He gently wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer, making me freeze in my spot.

There were many times when Taehyung decided to be mischievous and did the same thing to tease a reaction out of me. But this time, I could sense something was different about him. His voice sounded helpless and shaky. So, I didn't push him away when he placed his head on my shoulder in a frail manner.

"Tae? What's wrong?" I laid a gentle hand on his forehead, only to pull my hand back in shock. "Oh my god, you're burning up!"

With his lips as white as his teeth, he forced himself to look up and let out a weak smile, "I think... I might have burned up the stage too much."

And just like that, he exhaled out his last breath and collapsed into my embrace.

When I felt his whole weight on me, my blood instantly turned icy cold in my veins. It was as if the whole universe stopped moving, my brain couldn't seem to think of anything other than the weight on my left shoulder.

It was an utter chaos in the room as the staff was busily attending to every member, preparing for the last song. But here, Taehyung was silently unconscious on my shoulder.

"T-Taehyung..." I tried to shake him, to wake him up. But even so, Taehyung didn't budge at all. He was too weak, too exhausted, and to witness such lifeless form of him, I began to panic and cry out uncontrollably.

"S-Sejin oppa!" I cried out in a desperate voice, still holding strongly onto Taehyung so that he didn't fall. "Sejin oppa! Taehyung fainted!"

Everything sounded incoherent to me. I wasn't even sure I was whispering or shouting out those words. But when I looked around the room, everyone began to take in the situation with an alarming demeanor.

Before I knew, everything moved so quickly. There was no more weight on me as the paramedics had aided Taehyung to another room to give him the emergency medical care.

I wanted to be there for him, but Micha and Haejong unnie had stopped me before I could. Instead, they engulfed me into a hug, silently calmed me down from my emotional breakdown.

It was our very last night in Japan. While everyone was out to celebrate the success of the concert, I sneaked into Taehyung's hotel room to check on him. After the concert had ended, the paramedics stated that Taehyung had a high fever and advised that he'd get a good rest and take proper medication.
