The warmth of his lips—I couldn't stop thinking about it. For the past hours, I just found myself tracing the corner of my lips with subconscious mind. The heat spread over my cheeks felt like it had never cooled down ever since what happened in the swimming pool with Taehyung on that night.

"I will do whatever it takes to bring your memories back, and I will make you fall for me again."

His suave voice decided to tease every edge of my mind. And as though Fate was having fun torturing me, Taehyung's dark eyes suddenly caught mine as he was circling around the stage of Nippon Gaishi Hall for rehearsal.

Even from the backstage, I managed to catch the amused quirk of his lips when he saw I was trying to hide behind the dark curtains. Obviously, my attempt failed, because he'd stopped walking and was now squatting down at the edge of the stage, staring at me with a perk of sexy brow.

I frowned at him, trying my best to conceal any reaction, but then I noticed the slow movement of his lips as he looked like he was muttering something under his breath.

"You...are...so..." His lips slowly tugged into a smirk, "adorable." And he sent a flirtatious wink toward my way.

It didn't take long for me to sink the meaning of the words into my brain. I could have sworn my knees almost turned jelly at his playful gesture.

No, get your wits together, Mia. He's just trying to make you fall for him. And you're not gonna give in so easily.

With cheeks flushed red, I pressed my lips and sent him a reprimanding glare as he looked like he was trying to stifle back a smile. I quickly turned around, disappearing behind the curtains and proceeded to help the other staff with the concert preparations.

The three hours concert went by so quickly as the boys did their best to keep pace with the rest of the schedule given by the stage manager. It was the second day of the concert, so the boys had gotten used to the small space of the basement as well as the direction. At some point, they somehow amazed me by their speedy changing of the stage outfits. Heck, I think it could be one of their hidden talents too.

"Encore stage in 10!" the assistant stage manager shouted out at the door as a heads-up.

I was fixing the oversized baby blue dress shirt on Jungkook. And as usual, he would just stand still and try to avoid eye contact with me as much as possible. Occasionally, when I caught him looking at me, he was fast enough to look away. Then he pouted his lips, pretending like nothing ever happened.

"It's rude to stare, you know," I said, tip-toeing to his height to adjust his shirt collar.

"I didn't mean to, noona. You are so close to me." His voice like a velvety whisper in my ears.

I lost all the energy on my legs when I heard his comeback. Because Jungkook had never spoken to me ever since our date back in New York. But in a swift move, Jungkook managed to catch me by the shoulders, stabling me as I looked up at him in surprise.

"Anyway, I'm sorry that I make you feel uncomfortable, noona. I'd have known it when you said you didn't want to start over with us." He hung his head low with a bitter smile before he walked out of the door.

At such sight, I felt a pain tugged in my heart. I had the intention to chase after him and amend things, but a familiar voice in the fitting room instantly held me back.

"Jinhee, I can't find my beret!"

I rolled my eyes and puffed out a breath. It was Taehyung. I wondered what was he up to this time.
