Stark Tower, United States of America.
Nikita Romanova POV.
That was Natalia. How was I so sure? Well, I could never forget the girl who abandoned me. I hated her, but right now, I couldn't do anything about it. If I wanted to kill her, hurt her, or do anything of the sort, I'd have to wait until the time was right. Her Russian sounded just like it did when she told me she was marrying Alexi. When she told me she was leaving me to be with him instead. During my research, I found that Alexi is 100% dead. Good.
I sat down on the king size bed and looked around. It was a nice room, and Tony was really nice to let me borrow it. I didn't want to hurt Natasha at the moment, but damn, I still did. I felt like something was off though. Natalia knew Nina was a cover by now, but I feel like she knows something else. She's not an idiot, she's put the pieces together. If she hasn't, her genius pals Tony and Bruce probably did for her.
Also, she went by the name of Natasha now. It's like she wants to erase her past or something. Like, I've done shitty things too but you don't see me changing my name. I'm still plain old Nikita Romanova. I needed to do something to just make sure she knows.
I walked out into the living room area and Natalia noticed me right away.
"Hey, come sit down!"
"Alright," I smiled slightly and sat next to her.
"So how're you liking New York?"
"It's certainly better than Russia, that's for sure," they all chuckled.
"So, tell us about your childhood."
"Well I was born in Volgograd 17 years ago and a few years later, my parents sadly passed in a house fire. I grew up with my older sister but then she married a man I personally didn't like, so uh, she left me."
"That's so sad, what happened to you then?'' I had no idea who that was.
"Well, I was homeless for a few years but then I started taking ballet and umm... self defence classes, and they offered me housing. Uh, just a couple years ago I left that place? I guess, and ended up in Sokovia, bringing us here."
"Jesus, that sucks. You're welcome to stay as long as you want, I've got the room," Tony laughed.
"Thanks, I don't want to take up too much of your time though."
"You're fine, don't even worry. That's room has been vacant for like... years."
"Oh, well thank you."
"So where did you go to school?"
"In Volgograd, school number 106, that was my high school. My grade school doesn't exist anymore." My grade school didn't exist, but I just made up a high school name. I don't know what it was called anymore!
"Oh, interesting," Natalia said. "So, tell me more about your family."
I smirked at her. I think she knew by now. "Well I don't remember much about my parents, they died when I was a baby. My sister, she was amazing. She was... eleven years older than me and she helped take care of us me with our foster father, Ivan."
"Didn't she leave you?" Tony questioned.
"Yeah. She married a man whom I wasn't a total fan of and when I told her, she chose him over me. He was into some shady stuff. Anyway so, I went homeless and I hate my sister, even though she's probably dead by now because of that son of a bitch."
"What was his name?" Clint asked suspiciously.
"Alexi Shostakov."
