It was Thurday. The meeting with Athena Stark started in about ten minutes and Natasha and I weren't there yet. Who let her drive? I could have had us there 20 minutes ago. I saw the huge building and sign and got ready to jump out. We still had no idea where we were going once we got in and being late is never a good first impression.
"Hey Talia, what's the deal with this twins and huge buildings?"
"I have no idea, let's go. And why can you call me Talia but I can't call you Nik?"
"I didn't abandon you when you were 12," I shrugged and went in.
We were greeted by some guard who lead us up a million floors in the elevator and through an entire town before we made it to the conference room. She was sitting in there fiddling with a file sitting infront of her. Did she ever look like Tony. I don't understand how people could be so dumb and not put two and two together. The guard knocked and opened the door. Natalia went in first.
They hugged and Natalia introduced me. She sounded like him too. She had the same strong but comforting voice. You could hear the Stark in it if that makes any sense. She sounded tough and intimidating but also like someone you could get along with. Like Tony I guess. She didn't seem as bitchy and arrogant as him though, but it'll probably come out later. She looked exactly like Tony, if he was a girl of course. I always thought male and female twins wouldn't look too much alike, but man was I wrong.
"What is it exactly that you need from me?" I asked after shaking her hand and taking a seat.
"I need you to teach me how to operate the rifle of course, but also how to choose a location, stay hidden, get away and any problems that could happen."
"I can do that."
"What would you like in return?" Let's see what she could do first.
"What's your offer?"
"I can do $10,000."
"Really?" I tried to hide the surprise on my face but it was not easy.
"Is that a problem?" She raised an eyebrow and had the infamous smirk on her face. I knew it wasn't just Tony.
"No, that's perfect. It's a deal then."
"Great, we'll be in touch then," she started standing up.
"Athena, tell me something."
"Yes?"
"Why do you need this?"
"Someone did my brother and I wrong. They are going to pay, not us."
"Raina?"
"What do you know?"
"She broke through Tony's state of the art firewall and stole files and a few million dollars."
"Yes."
"She's making you pay to get them back."
"They're mine and they are dangerous."
"No, I understand completely. Are you sure you don't just want me to do this for you? Killing someone isn't as easy as it sounds."
"You went through a whole hit list in Germany during these past six months. I'm sure it isn't too hard."
"Fair enough. We'll meet here again on Monday. See you then."
"Thank you."
"Anytime."
It was a deal then. I would trach her something she could literally learn on YouTube and she would give me $10,000. Jeez, she just said it like it didn't even sting a little. Someone asks me for five bucks and I think about it for the next three months. I mean, she is a billionaire, it makes sense. That's probably like $100 to her. Two kids from the same family, both billionaires, how is that fair?
She was nice, but I could tell she meant business. I wonder if her and Tony ever fight. Her personality isn't the same as his completely and I wonder if she gets sick of it. I do, and I see him for probably ten minutes of the whole day. Does Tony have other siblings he's hiding? What else don't I know about that family. I thought it was just him. What if their parents weren't even dead?!
"Nikita?" Natasha said when she closed the car door.
"Mhm?"
"Athena's coming to the tower tonight to hangout wit hthe Avengers. If you see her you have to act like you don't know her. Is that clear?"
"Yeah. I'll stay in my room, no problem."
"Well if something happens and you have to come out, act like you're just meeting her. You know she'll do the same."
"Okay, calm down, I'm a spy Natalia. I can act."
"Not as good as me though."
