I sat next to Tony in the meeting and Natasha was over on the other side of the table, so I didn't really have to look at her. Nick walked in and put his stuff down on the large glass table.

"I see you've changed your mind? He asked, I assume was directed at me.

  "No."

  "Why are you here then?"

  "Tony invited me."

"Alright then, whatever you hear doesn't leave this room."

  "Okay."

"Alright idiots, Sokovia is still broken and millions of people, even from other countries, are pissed."

"We minimalized the possible damage though," Bruce said.

"Well not really. Everyone is saying this is Stark's fault, and I'm with them. Tony, it was your robot that created the whole damn problem."

"But my other robot fixed it," he said with a bit of sass.

"We don't know if we're getting sued or attacked or something, but be ready for anything. Guaranteed we aren't going to get away with this with no consequence."

"So what do we do in the mean time?''

  "You've done more than enough."

"So we just sit here and wait for our punishment?"

"Yes. If you do anything that I don't authorize, I'll throw you in Sokovia and let them deal with you. Understand?"

  "Yes," everyone mumbled.

"I think that's kind of stupid though, shouldn't we be doing something to show we're sorry?" An agent said.

"I agree with the your idea is stupid part," Tony chimed in.

"I think you're stupid. Anyway, that's for us to deal with, and you to wait for."

  "Yes sir."

"Dismissed," everyone got up and started walking out. I began to do the same when I felt a hand grab me.

Just as a reflex, I turned around and punched someone in the face. I looked up to see an angry Director Fury looking at me.

"Well damn, okay. Listen kid, my offer still stands."

  "My answer is no, Director."

"Come find me if you change your mind."

"Alright, sorry about punching you by the way, reflexes."

  "Understandable."

I nodded at him and walked out of the room and back to mine. I made it by myself without the help of Friday. I didn't know how much longer I was planning on staying here, but I didn't want to stay forever. I didn't have alot of money right now but I had enough to maybe rent a place for a few months. I could stay here forever if I joined the team, but I didn't want to.

And that's not just me saying, oh I don't want to, even though I do. I really don't. It doesn't seem like something my style. I'm usually the one causing the problem, not solving it. It would be good for me, and I'd be able to get back to fighting and everything, but I still didn't know.

I wanted to reconnect with Natalia, but I didn't want to give in. I didn't want her to think all is forgiven, because it's not. I don't think it ever will be either. I don't want to appear weak to them, I want them to see me as they see Natalia. Strong and independent. Giving in is weak, and I'll never be able to do anything right if I know I did the weak thing.
