"You want me to believe that bullshit?"
"Nikita, what will I have to do to get you to understand that I'm truly sorry."
"You're lying."
"What?"
"I said, you're lying."
"Why would I be lying?"
"You know, for a spy, you aren't very good at it."
"Nikita I have no idea what you're talking about. I was horrible to you, and I'm apologizing for my actions."
"You know when you lie your eyes get all big and bright? Like you're a little girl again telling Ivan it was me who broke the tea set?"
"What the hell Nik?"
"You've never been able to lie to me Natalia. Even as a little girl I knew you weren't telling the truth."
"You're really that mad at me that you think I'm lying?"
"Name one instance where you were the one to apologize first."
"Um... when we got in a fight about who deserved the new dress when Ivan accidentally bought one instead of two."
"No."
"Yes?"
"No. You told me I could have it if I apologized, so I did."
"That's how that ended? Damn it."
"Any others? I remember everything Nat."
"This is different Nikita. We're adults now, we've both grown up and we need to start acting like it."
"So this is my fault now?"
"I'm not saying that. You know what? You obviously don't want to forgive me so I'll just leave you to it."
"You're trying to get me to forgive you so that I'll join Fury's team that he sucked you in to. I'm a spy too Natalia, I can tell what's happening." I wasn't going to deal with this, and she was in my room, so I just walked out.
I couldn't believe her. She didn't think she could fool me that easily did she? It was kind of insulting honestly. I was walking around the tower when I decided that Natalia should be out of my room by now and Friday lead me back. Just as I had suspected, she was gone.
I pulled out my phone and checked my Instagram when there was a knock at the door.
"Come in," I called.
The door opened and Tony stood in the doorway. "Hey kid."
"I'm older than you."
"Technically, but who looks older?"
"That one goes to you."
"Thanks, anyway, could you just come to one of our meetings and see if we can change your mind?"
"I'm not interested Stark. I really don't want to work with Natalia."
"Is that the only reason? We can arrange for you to not work with her."
"Ever?"
"Pretty much ever. You might see her but you'll never be sent on a mission with her. Unless of course we need everyone for one thing."
"I'll go."
"You will?"
"Yeah, why not. It's funny watching you guys try and get a teenager to join your team of adults."
"Well, we have one kid who's around your age."
"Yeah?"
"His name's Peter. He's 16." (I know that Peter isn't 16 in 2015 but I need his age to fit the story sooooo)
"Cool. Yeah I'll go, when is it?"
"Right now."
"Is the director guy going to be there?"
"I would think so, he is our boss."
"Dammit, alright let's go."
