The following days are progressively worse after that day in the clothing room.

Jungkook stops trying to be perfect and not make any mistakes, resulting in more punishments from Yugyeom.

Yugyeom goes out more and comes home angry after long nights.

Jungkook's not good at hiding the cuts and bruises on his face but Taehyung is and he helps the younger cover the bruises with make up so Jin won't see.

Jungkook wonders why Taehyung's so good at hiding the bruises, where'd he learn to conceal them so well?

Yugyeom's job informed him that they were going to be closed for another two months or so due to complications or something.

Jungkook nearly broke down, but of course he smiled and pretended it was great news.

    "That's cool." He had said with a forced smile even though he thought he was going to be sick.

That night Yugyeom went out luckily and gave him time to ball his eyes out.

He wanted to call Taehyung but Yugyeom would check his phone and get upset.

When he got to work the day after Taehyung didn't make him do anything and just gave time to himself.

Jungkook was grateful that Taehyung was helping him and comforting him rather than trying to make him come to his senses and leave Yugyeom.

If Jungkook could he would, but with the constant tabs Yugyeom kept on him it seemed impossible.

Jungkook constantly found himself thinking about Taehyung and wishing he was there to rescue him when Yugyeom got angry.

Sometimes he would even think about Taehyung when he was feeling hopeless and it would give him a little hope.

When he's at work, though he doesn't say it, he is extremely thankful for Taehyung's presence and he never wants to leave his side.

Taehyung made him feel safe and even though he knew he was worthless, Taehyung made him feel like he wasn't.

Yugyeom constantly degrades him and makes him feel stupid while Taehyung constantly tells him how valuable he is and that he needs to see that.

Jungkook has noticed that Taehyung didn't drink as much anymore, or maybe at all.

He sees him standing in his usual smoking spot less and less as well.

It makes him proud and glad that Taehyung has decided to save himself.

Even though things were bad, Taehyung made them better. And Jungkook was starting to question where his heart was when it came to him.

Surely is wasn't with Yugyeom, he had tried to convince himself that he'd lost his love for him a long time ago and he would never gain it back.

Jungkook's life was in shambles and he wanted nothing more than to run away and start over.

His fear of Yugyeom is the only thing that kept him where he was.

Even though Taehyung promised nothing would happen if he left his promises felt empty compared to Yugyeom's threats.

Jungkook constantly wondered what he did to make Yugyeom hate him, what could have turned him into the cold hearted person he was now?

Why would the love of his life suddenly turn into his worst nightmare?

What had he done to deserve this life?

Maybe the universe just hated him and was punishing his existence.
