"Come on, Tae. I hate to see you so somber."Taehyung ignores Jin while he buttons his shirt, his stoic eyes distant and deep in thought.
After spending the whole day doing photoshoots the last thing Taehyung wanted to do was go to a stupid formal to parade around and be fake.
He's had enough of being fake all day and the fact that Jungkook hadn't left his mind once wasn't helping.
"After tonight the only thing left is the show and the awards~"
"I know, Seokjin." The model says turning away from the mirror to shrug his blazer on, he was wearing a five thousand dollar outfit just for 29 stupid points.
"Just try not to look so down. You look handsome in your outfit and I'm sure it'd look one hundred times better if you smiled." Jin says offering a smile.
Taehyung shakes his head as he cracks a smile. "Don't make me smile, hyung. I feel like shit."
"I'm sorry." The older chuckles. "But from what you said earlier the interview went well, why are you so upset?"
"He treated me like a stranger, Jin. Like he didn't fucking know me. Like we never meant anything to each other." The bluenette says going into the bathroom to do his hair.
"He was just being professional." Jin says following him. "He couldn't exactly just run into your arms and tell you how much he's missed you."
"I know I just didn't expect him to be so different." Taehyung says bringing the curling iron to his hair to loosely curl the front. "I wish it wasn't so hard seeing him here. He's obviously over me, why can't I get over him?"
But oh was Taehyung so wrong, Jungkook only thought he was over him.
He had only convinced himself he was and it was starting to get to him.
He wasn't over Kim Taehyung.
"What are you thinking about?" Jongsuk asks as they get ready for the formal.
"Nothing, sorry." The younger says before continuing to tie the older's tie. "I believe you can't tie a tie, Suk."
"You're the one that hates clip ons." The older says with a smile as Jungkook hands him the tie.
"They're ugly. Real ties look better." He says going to put on his shoes.
"Teach me how to tie one then." Jongsuk says looking in the mirror as he adjusts the tie.
"I'll have to." Jungkook says, his voice distant as more thoughts of Taehyung intrude his mind.
I'm going crazy. He thinks to himself as he feels his heart beating faster at the thought of the other.
"Ready?" Jongsuk asks shrugging on his blazer.
Jungkook nods, grabbing his things before heading out with Jongsuk.
The judges are meant to be looking around at all the models to select who they think is best dressed at the social and Jungkook thinks he's going to have a hard time.
That is until Kim Taehyung enters the ballroom and completely steals everyone's attention.
He walks in and everything about him seems so effortless but yet perfectly placed.
His hair is styled in loose curls and he's dressed in a suit that looks simple but must've costed a fortune.
The fact is that Kim Taehyung in a simple black suit completely trumps the sparkly ballgowns, shiny shoes, and the ridiculous patterns worn by all the other models.
