Sneha's POV
I woke up from the sunlight beaming on my eyes, noting me the arrival of yet another morning. I looked around my room trying to spot Ryan, as according to my memory of last night, I had slept in his arms only on the couch.
But instead of finding Ryan, my eyes met with a piece of paper kept at the side table. I fumbled with the note as my eyes scanned the words written on it.
"Meet me at the meeting hall around 10, will you Moon?"
I glanced at the clock hanging on the wall opposite to me.
8:15
I decided to get ready and head to the office early as staying at the home won't do me any good either. These days loneliness gets on my head and I always end up crying over my pathetic self.
So after a quick shower and throwing on some warm clothes, I was already on my way to the FCC building. I thought to go through some files till the time and then meet Ryan, but as I was passing through the corridors I heard some arguing voices. God knows I wouldn't eavesdrop, if my name hadn't popped out from behind those closed doors of the meeting hall.
They were arguing over me?
I slightly opened the door to peek inside.
Ryan was sitting across the room with Druv, as I could clearly make out that Druv was furious over something.
"I don't think reporting to the head office is a wise idea Ryan." Druv angrily snapped.
"But I want to see that Bincy behind the bars. And we need to report him for that!" Ryan also raised his voice now.
"You aren't understanding! Bincy is a powerful man! He can sue all of us! And in any case, no one's gonna believe our story!" Druv stood up, slamming his fist on the table.
"Why won't anybody believe?! Sneha's statement can be held against him." Ryan also stood up after him.
"That won't be enough Ryan! We need stronger evidences than just that!"
"Ryan I told you not to get involved in my matters." I had to interrupt them. I stepped inside the room, scanning the place.
Both the boys turned towards me. Shock was evident on their faces.
"What are you doing this early at the office Moon? I asked you to come around 10." Ryan almost mumbled, making his way towards to me, passing through all the chairs lined up against the long table inside that room.
"For once I'm glad to come early and intrude you guys." I looked back at him.
Ryan tried to take my hand but I took a step back, avoiding him. "Druv, you don't have to report anyone. Just let it be." I said to our Chief Manager, still having my eyes on Ryan who's face showed all colors ranging from worriedness to disappointment.
"Druv you'll report." A firm voice made us all turn back to see the source.
Avni?
Avni came inside closing the door behind her. "I just realized that nobody here wants to befriend me." She sighed, as her eyes moved between me, Ryan and Druv.
"Sorry, but I'm gonna offer my helping hand anyway." She looked at me, "But I want you to tell me the whole story..... please."
Something about Avni seemed to be different. She wasn't the happy- bubbly girl all of us in the room knew. She looked all concerned for me and uncharacteristically serious.
