6 days.
That's how much time has passed till I last saw Ryan.
Do I miss him? Nah! Why would I?!

Lies.

Am I hoping to see his face? Absolutely not!

Lies and more Lies.

I was about to leave the office after grinding my brain-cells in the meetings for 10 hours straight.
I just want to get back to my love..... My Bed!

But unfortunately, as soon as I turned the door knob to open it and make my exit, some familiar voice called me from behind. Actually very familiar voice.

Ryan.

I felt his presence even before I saw him.

"What do you want?" I asked as he jogged towards me.

"Come with me to the Chief Manager's house. I need to submit some files to him." He said, facing me.

"And what makes you think that I'll agree to join you?" I crossed my hands on my chest. "No. I'm not going with you to anywhere." I rolled my eyes and turned towards my direction of departure.

"Why can't you simply agree with me for even once? Why do I always have to impose things on you?" He shakes his head in mock disgrace.

I looked back at him.
What is it with him this time!?

"Chief Manager has called you too. He wanted to handover some schedules to you, so he asked me to bring you with me." He smirked.

"Why should I believe in your lies?" I hitched up an eyebrow.

"Call him then. Confirm it yourself." He shrugged.

If he's been this much confident about his words, I knew he wasn't lying then.

I sighed and gave in.

His smile grew bigger. "The car is at the parking."

As soon as I sat inside his car, his familiar perfume hits my nose.
This is the same car where we shared many beautiful memories.

Okay, Sneha, you need to get hold of yourself. Control.

He starts the engine and drives towards the location.

My eyes involuntarily made their way towards Ryan's figure, who was sitting comfortably at the driving seat. His one hand had the control of the steering wheel, while the other lazily rests upon the window beside him. His eyes were completely focused on the road ahead and as sun-rays spreads across his face, it was giving his dark eyes - a light brown shade.
His slightly sweat-damped hair covered his beautiful forehead as he runs his fingers in his smooth black-locks and flips it back with his idle hand. My eyes trailed further down to his sharp jawline and then to his well-defined torso, to which that off-white shirt fitted way too much perfectly!
Was he always this handsome or he is growing more day by day?

My eyes couldn't help but to explore the gorgeous features of that man beside me. And the fact that I was completely idle and he was fully focused on the road didn't help either.

"Can you pass me the water?" He said disturbing my concentration on him, while his eyes were still focused ahead.

I collected myself and looked beside me for the bottle.
I gingerly opened the cap and handed it to him. While he drank the water, I tried hard not to stare at him again, and shifted my gaze towards the trees and buildings passing by us.

"Thank you." He said, handing the bottle back to me. "You want some?"

"No thanks. I'm not thirsty." I replied, closing the bottle-cap and placing it back again.

"Oh, so only your eyes were thirsty. I see!" His evil smile came back to his face.

I flushed hard. How can I expect that he won't notice me looking at him?
I'm such an idiot!!

"You can continue with your staring. I don't mind." He tried hard to suppress that smile, but failed miserably.

"I wasn't staring at you! I was just.....just looking at the window beside you!" I tried to cover up.

"Yeah. Whatever you say, Miss Assistant Manager." And that smile never left his face again.

I gave up. I know I can't make him agree, so what's even the point on giving useless excuses?

Instead, to change the topic, I switched on the radio of the car.
And soon, we both got engrossed into the oceans of music.

After covering a little more distance, we finally reached at Chief Manager's house.
Ryan parked the car in front of the place and turned off the engine. I took the cue and grabbed my pursue and unbuckle my seatbelt to step out.

As I opened the car door, Ryan called out from his seat, "Stop."

I turned back to look at his direction, "What?"

And without answering my question, he came towards my seat, hovering over me, making me push myself further into my seat.

My body tensed up and my breathing accelerated in anticipation. As my heart was beating desperately in my chest, my eyes grew bigger. I'm sure even he can hear my heart beating this fast.
This much closeness is definitely not good for my poor heart!

He slipped one of his hand behind my back and.........

.....

freed my shirt from the pin on the seatbelt! I didn't realized when it even got tangled up there!!

Releasing my shirt from that pin, he went back to his seat. He looked at me for a brief moment before his usual, stupid smirk came back to his face, "What were you expecting, haan?"

I gathered by senses back, "Nothing! I just don't trust you!"
My cheeks felt hot, I wonder how hard I'm blushing right now!?

"Even I don't trust myself around you." His voice suddenly dropped and he sounded as if he was holding back too much pain.

But before I can further say anything to him, he had eventually moved out from the car.

"Let's go. We don't have the whole day for this." I heard his fainting voice, as he moved into the place.

I followed him inside.
What is it with his off-tone and suddenly cold behavior?
Hope I could know...
