I was applying lip tint, when my phone rang.
I picked up, while checking my reflection on the full-length mirror. "I'm waiting outside. You need more time?" the beautiful voice that I had started to get so used to, spoke from the other end.
"Nope. I'm coming, give me a minute." I ended the call, as I tossed my phone into my purse and ran fingers through my freshly ironed hair to assure my look one last time.
My eyes travelled through my overall look, displayed on the mirror at front. As promised, I didn't put much makeup, just kohl eyes and light lip tint covered my face, while I had let my hair down. But to fit in the party ambience, I chose to wear this white Midi dress. It was plain with a black bow around the waist, and it was the simplest look I could have chosen for any party. Now I'm worried that Ryan might not like my drab look for tonight. Maybe I had gone too bland on my outfit.
I sighed, disapproving my makeover but moved out of my apartment nevertheless. We were already late for the welcome ceremony there.
As I locked the front door and went outside to my parking lot, I spotted that familiar black Bentley. I strolled towards it, but the owner himself came out to greet me. I practically stopped breathing by looking at him.
Ryan was wearing a black shirt, whose buttons were visually struggling up around his chest as he shoved his hands in his black trousers. The complemented black blazer he wore just added more provocativeness to his overall persona. Even in the dim moonlight his wrist watch on the left hand glistened, while his arm muscles flexed beneath all that clothing. His hair was lightly pulled back, drawing more attention to those sharp features of his face, while his usual smirk was just a cherry over the cake. As he stood close to me, I just realized why he comes on the television in the first place. Because he's a goddamn eye candy!
I'm definitely going to hell for all the things I'm thinking right now.
"I thought you were to look ugly tonight." He spoke, bringing me back to reality.
"Huh?" I blinked, not sure of what he was taking. Was I lost too deep in checking him out?
He scoffed, taking my waist to pull me closure, "I don't mind you looking this beautiful, as long as it's me whom you take all these efforts for." He breathed, his eyes capturing every inch of my face.
I gulped as his cologne surrounds me, already driving me crazy. "You think I'm still looking good?"
He leans forward, kissing my cheek and whispers in my ear, "You look breathtaking, Moon."
The way he calls me with that name, never fails to make me feel like I'm the most precious thing he ever had. He always sounds so genuine with his compliments that I couldn't deny that special feeling creeping up in my heart.
I smiled, "You look more breathtaking, Mr. FCC Senior Host." He hitched up his eyebrow, looking back at me. I playfully pushed him off me, laughing. Because we all knew that if we continued to stay there looking at each other, we'll never make it to the party, but back into my apartment. "Let's go already. We're late."
He sat to the driver's seat, while I made myself comfortable beside him and we headed to the party's venue.
After thirty minutes of drive or so, we stopped in front of a five star hotel. As we head inside, Ryan gave his card to the reception, who told us the way to the booked hall. Ryan held my hand and the bellboy lead us to the way.
The hall was beautifully decorated, far more beautiful than I thought. I was actually expecting the place to be decorated with newspaper cuttings or something, filled with old-boring people. But it was lighted beautifully in different colors, as the whole area smelled of fresh flowers. Music cheered up the atmosphere and people already had been scattered in small groups to have their own talks. There was a dance-floor, a stage and a bar at the corner, waiting to celebrate the aura. Beside the bar, there was a small passage that lead to the balcony outside, that could provide some peaceful moment one might looking for when tired from the loud music.
