Jack's P.O.V.

Little Rapunzel finally fell asleep. "And everyone lived happily ever after. The end." I finished. I closed the book and looked down at Punzie. She is so beautiful. Her long blonde hair flowed off the bed. It was at least 10 feet long already! I carefully slid out of the bed and fixed the blanket, tucking it up to her chin. I tip-toed to the window and looked back. 5 years old already. She will be 6 next week. I remember when I first met her like it was yesterday...

Sandy had just died. I needed to get away for a while. Just for the night. I flew over a forest wiping away a tear or two. Sandy didn't say much but he was still my friend. I looked down at watched the trees pass by like a blur. Then something else whizzed by. I quickly came to a halt and flew back a bit. I couldn't quite make out what it was because it was getting so dark. I flew down more till I was near the top. It was a tower. A tall tower with one window at the top. I flew around it looking for a door but came up short. I came back and faced the window. Slowly, I came closer. I quietly knocked once. Twice. Three times. The window opened a little and revealed two big green eyes. A little girl. About 2. She looked at me in awe. She looked below me trying to figure out why I was floating. "Hello. I'm Jack. What's your name?" She didn't say anything. "Can I come in?" I questioned gesturing to the inside of the tower. She climbed down from the window. I guess that means yes... I flew inside and shut the window behind me. The girl just stood there holding a little doll. She is so small, but her blonde hair is so long. Extremely long for a 2 year old. At least 4 feet long! How did she reach the window? I turned around to see a stool pushed up against the wall underneath the window. That makes sense. I turned back to the girl. "Do you live in here by yourself?" I asked. She gently grabbed my hand and led me out of the room. Her hand was surprisingly warm. Then, I remembered, I can't feel heat.
