Hiccup's P.O.V.
Merida yanked Rapunzel's hair, forcing her to walk forward. Then she thrusted her into the closet. Merida shut it and locked it.
"Let's go." She said grabbing my hand. I ignored Rapunzel's screams. We ran over to the window in Rapunzel's room.
"Untie Jack and I will get a rope or something." Merida said.
I nodded as she handed me the knife. I went over to Jack and sliced the ropes holding the chains together. The chains and Jack fell to the floor.
"You okay?" I asked as I helped him up.
"Yeah I'm fine. The chains just cut off a little circulation. Lets just go." He wobbled with my help over to Merida. Just a few feet before we got there, black sand came in front of us like a snake over to Merida.
"Merida!"
She turned too late as it rushed over her like a wave. A second after it cleared, she was gone.
She fell out the window.
I ran up to the window, leaving Jack to lean against the wall. I heard her scream, but then it was cut off.
Nothing. She wasn't there.
Then black sand flooded in front of the window, blackening my vision. In the next second, it was gone. The only thing left was 10 fingers holding on to the window sill.
"Merida!"
I leaned over the window sill and grabbed her wrists.
She smiled up at me and I smiled back.
"Hiccup."
"Yeah?"
"Can you pull me up now? I'd prefer not to hang out a window by my fingertips."
"Oh! Yeah! of course!" I pulled her up with all my might. I groaned slightly with the effort.
Once she was back inside, she hugged me tightly. She pulled away but then I leaned in close. Seconds before our lips met a voice said,
"How adorable."
