Jack' P.O.V.

"No!!!" I yelled. "You can't!!!"

"Oh yes Jack. I can. And I will. Your staff won't be the only thing burning tonight. They should be here any minute now."

"They?"

As if on cue, Merida and Hiccup came tumbling in by the black sand creatures.

Merida scrambled up and ran after pitch.

"Pitch! How dare you!" Pitch raised his hand and a wave of sand knocked her back by Hiccup. She sat up and groaned.

"Don't try that again ok, princess? Let's play nice."

Merida slid closer to Hiccup who wasn't moving.

"What's the matter with Hiccup?" I asked.

"He hit his head when we were fighting the nightmares. We were searching for you guys. Where is Rapunzel?" Merida puzzled.

"Umm... Uh...." I put my head down. "Pitch manipulated her into..uh.. thinking all I did was leave her in this tower and now s-she is scared of me. She is on Pitch's side."

"Merida?" Rapunzel came into the room. Merida put her head down and stroked Hiccup's hair. I never knew. Merida and Hiccup.

"Hiccup!" She started to come towards him.

"Stay away!" Merida yelled. Then she whispered,"Are you really on the villian's side?"

"Oh let's not have any name calling now!" Pitch interrupted.

"Butt out!" Merida scowled. She looked back up at Rapunzel, not wanting to believe the horrible truth. The truth that could not be ignored.

"Jack is the bad guy. You all know it. You guys are in the dark. You can't see the truth." She said angrily. I've never seen her like this.
Pitch came over and put a hand on her shoulder. I noticed her beautiful green eyes were turning a dull grey.
