Jack's P.O.V.

I woke up with a major headache. I sat up and groaned.

"Good... You awake." A female voice said sharply.

"W-where am I?" I stammered. I finally stood. A woman in a velvet cloak turned around and faced me.

"You."

"Yes. Me. Now Jack. They should be here any time now." Mothel Gothel said.

I looked around. I was in Rapunzel's tower. Her paintings covered the walls.

"Who? Why am I here?" I asked walking forward.

Gothel pulled out a knife.

"You are here because this is where you left Rapunzel. Where you will leave her again. I need her to stay. To keep me young. Now if you want Rapunzel to live in fear for the rest of her life, you will do as I say." She explained.

"Let me just ask one thing." I said defiantly.

She nodded.

"Do you even care about Rapunzel?" I asked angrily. Just the way she said her name suggested just that. She didn't care if Rapunzel was unhappy.

She stared straight into my eyes and stated plainly, "No"

I was taken aback. Punzie's own mother doesn't care about her. Wait. She said Rapunzel keeps her young. What did she mean? I'm confused. Nothing makes sense. Maybe I can escape and find Rapunzel.

My staff. It's gone.

"Where's my staff!?"

"Oh. That. You won't be needing that anymore." Gothel walked up to me knife in hand. "Now do as I say. Exactly."

"Only. Only to make Rapunzel not afraid anymore." I said regrettably.
