Chapter thirty_five-Oh Boy

Jack's P.O.V.

We broke apart and I felt Punzie place something in my hands after she loosened them.

"You will have to hurry out. Pitch will make sure it will happen." Punzie explained.

"What will happen?" She paused before saying anything.

"Don't forget about me." She whispered.

"Never." I promised.

She rose and gribbed her hair tightly.

"You better come back this time. Or I will never forgive you."

Without another word, she slid down her hair to the awaiting Pitch and Gothel.

I looked down to see what she placed in my now untied hands.

My staff.

Wait. Pitch said he was going to burn my staff. If its here...

Hopefully Rapunzel stole it. I doubted it, but the other scenario would be much worse.

"We need to get out of here!" I yelled frantically.

Just then, a lit torch was thrown from outside the window, a few feet away from me. Fun in the sun. Very funny Pitch.

Immediately, the carpet caught on fire. Another torch was thrown, barely making it through the window. Soon the curtains were ablaze. I quickly untied Merida's hands, then she did the same to Hiccup. Next we all untied our feet.

Once that was done, nearly the whole room was engulfed in the yellow flames.

"Jack! What are we going to do?" Merida yelled over the roar of the flames.

"Why do you have a staff?" I just looked at Hiccup. That didn't really seem relevant as far as they knew. Merida punched him in the shoulder.

I tried to use my staff to put out some flames, but it was too hot and there were too many flames. After many attempts I started to feel weak and out of energy.

"What are we going to do?" Merida yelled as part of the roof caved in to the right of us.

Just then a crazy insane idea popped in my head.

"I have an idea. But your not going to like it Merida." I half grinned.

I heard her say "Oh boy."

We went up to the window carefully, stepping on small flames. Hiccup and Merida crawled on the sill, with me close behind. I grabbed the back of their shirts and pulled us out the window. Merida screamed. I grunted as I flew trying to stay in the air even with the extra weight. I glanced down to see Merida still scared and Hiccup grinning from ear to ear. Then, Hiccup grabbed Merida's hand. I looked up just as Merida screamed again. My vision was blocked by a giant tree.

Great. We are crashing into a tree.
