: : Part VI : :

The week slipped by easily, you were engorged in your writing you had already turned her into 18,000 words. You haven’t seen her since the first day, but you suspect that that won’t be the case for much longer, there is only so many places that you can hide at this university. And you know all of them off the back of your hand.

You haven’t spoken to Alex since the start of the week; he called and asked you about Sienna. The conversation sounded normal to anyone on the outside but it was awkward and unnerving.

It was Friday night, and the library was empty. Well, more empty than usual. There are no souls in sight and that makes you comfortable, it is easier to write with no one around to interrupt the flow.

You try to get stuck into your weekly literature assignment, your notebook is open and you scribbled some sentences about love, and Sienna, mainly Sienna, when she jumps out from nowhere and scoots in to the chair opposite you, she faces you and she smiles brightly. “Well, hello there, stranger.” You don’t answer, you just look at her. “Hello Sienna, how are you?” She mimics your voice, and laughs a little.

“Hello Sienna.” You breathe; your voice is controlled and quiet.

“Why, hello there, Carson. How are you, my dearest?” Her smile grows wider, is that even possible?

Her smile has an effect on you, and you forget why you should stay away from her. Being with her is so easy, not that she is easy, it is just simple, natural. “I am fantastic now you are here.” You wink sending a smile onto your face.

“Carson, are you flirting with little old me? What would Alex say?” She giggled, knowing that this was just fun. That it was just your way of amusement, but that isn’t what it was.

“Not much, he would just kill me.”

“Well, we wouldn’t want that now would we?”

“No we wouldn’t, it would be dreadful. Who would drive you everywhere?”

Her eyes lit up. “Good point, maybe I won’t tell him. It could be our little secret.” She giggled, you sigh wanting that to be true. You want to be able to wrap yourself up around her and sleep with her, just sleep not fuck, you want to be able to kiss her senselessly, and you want her to laugh at you and with you. You just want her, you love her, and you always have. “Carson?” She asked.

“Yes, jellybean.” You answer.

Sienna laughs at your pet name for her. “Okay, so Avery, my roommate, and I are going to this party tonight and Avery is a year older than me. She is in Benson’s engineering class and she has a thing for him so we were wondering if you and Benson could come.”

“I don’t know…”

“Please, Cars…” She pleaded her eyes widened and they took on a puppy dog quality.

“Ugh fine.” You crumble under her charm. “How do you know about Benson?” You ask the second the question popped into your mind.

“Avery talks about him all the time, and you mentioned him a few times last year on your visits back home.” She smiled. “The party starts at seven, so I will see you there.”

Sienna gets up from her seat and walked past, but not before stopping behind you. She leans down and some of her weight was pressed against you back, she began to speak her voice was quiet and gushy. Her breath flowed onto your face as she spoke. “You should quote Shakespeare; he talks about love and loss a lot.” She grabs the pencil from your hand and began to write, ‘When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew.’
