: : Part XXXI : :

Three months went past, due to that event… July arrived and winter well and truly sunk in. But that week it didn’t feel like winter, no, it felt like a scorching summer.

Almost instantly after the incident Avery forgave Sienna. You didn’t mind, Avery went through a lot she deserves a friend. But Benson was still unsure for a while, but eventually he forgave her. Although you haven’t seen her for the past three months, so you didn’t forgive her.

Benson and Avery spent more time together, they were inseparable. Thank God, they are in all the same courses or otherwise they would’ve been kicked out of Uni a long time ago. Their relationship is still undecided, you think that they are dating but who knows. At least they are happy.

You over heard Avery and Benson talking about Sienna one day, Avery told Benson that she and Dylan {the guy that you punched} are official, although Sienna hasn’t told Alex yet.

They don’t mention Sienna in front of you. Ever.

You finished your major work during these months, and you handed it up to Professor Collins. He accepted it, and marked it. He asked you about Sienna but you just left. You couldn’t say the words out loud.

The words; ‘I lost her.’

Alex calls you almost every day, you don’t talk about Sienna. You aren’t sure why he never brings her up. Maybe Benson called him, you honestly don’t know.

Alex and Cherrie are getting serious; the other day Alex asked you how you would feel about him proposing to her. You honestly, couldn’t care less about love. Not after Sienna, even though what happened between you two was sort of your fault, you still blamed her. You couldn’t deal with the fact that it was your fault as well.

Today, however, was completely the same as any other day. You lay on your bed writing, researching, studying and listening to music. You almost finished another assignment when Benson walked in on the phone. You look up at him and glared at him.

“Yes, Sienna.” your eyes darted to him; you knew that Benson spent time with her but they had an unspoken agreement. Don’t bring her, even if it is just over the phone, into the room. “Sir PMS here,” pauses. “I’ll put him on the phone.”

Benson walked over to you, with his hand outstretched giving you his phone. No, you mouth shaking your head.

“Don’t be a dick.” Benson raised his eye brows and gave in.

“Sienna,” you said exasperated, after ripping the phone from Benson.

“Be nice,” he said softly and you roll your eyes.

“Carson,” she whispered.

She says nothing. “Do you want something?”

“Listen, we are going to the lake house next weekend. I was wondering if you would want to go?” She laughed, shyly.

“Who is we?”

“Alex, Cherrie, Benson, Avery, Dylan, you and me.”

“You are taking your boyfriend to the lake house?” You asked her.

“Yes, I am. It is a chance for him to meet my brother.”

“Your brother won’t like him.” You didn’t say anything more than you had to.

“I know, but…” She trailed off. “Can I talk to you?”

“You already are.”

“No, I meant, would you be okay with meeting me somewhere?”

“When?”

“Now. Please Carson; we need to talk about this.”

“Okay,” you mumble. “Where?”

“The Lily Pavilion.”

Half an hour passed and there you stood. Waiting for Sienna, you couldn’t think right now, all you knew was that you couldn’t let yourself let her slip through your fingers again.

“Carson?” Sienna called, walking into the garden. You looked up at her, and she spotted you sitting on the bridge that connected two parts of the garden.

Your breath stilled in your throat, she was beautiful. She wore a simple black dress, with her black doc martins. Her blonde hair fell loose around her and her face… well, her face was as white as a ghost, she looked like she hadn’t slept… like she was haunted.

Sienna sat down next to you. “Thanks for meeting me here.”

You stayed silent.

“I’m sorry Carson.” She said simply. “I am sorry for yelling at you, for being queen bitch and for saying all the things that I said. I don’t deserve it, but I want you back. I want my friend back.”

You didn’t want to lose her. “Okay.”

“Okay?”

“Okay, I forgive you. Do you forgive me?” You asked.

“I forgive you, Carson. You mean to much to me to just throw away. The last three months have been hard, I wanted to talk to you. The way we used to. Do you remember? Do you remember when you would sneak in my room at night and just talk, god we could talk for hours, and sometimes we didn’t even need to talk. We just lay there. Do you remember?”

“I remember, Sienna.” You say. She leans her head on your shoulder.

“Thankyou.” She shivered, you took off your flannelette shirt and put it around her shoulders. Warming her.

You wanted to kiss her, you wanted to take her all of her, and love her. But you settled for giving her your shirt.

You found love right were you were.
