Within the hour everyone was packed. You were all set to go. You all gathered at the University parking lot with bags in your hands. "One of us has a car right? Otherwise this is really pointless." Avery asked.

"I do." You lift up your keys and dangled them in front of her.

"I call front." Sienna skipped over to your beat up Hilux and threw her bag on the back tray. Avery followed her and placed her bag next to Siennas then stood next to her and the pair began to chat easily.

"That is your car?" Benson asked, standing next to you.

"Yeah."

"I always pictured you as an outlander type." Benson mentioned.

"Sorry to disappoint." You follow the girls and begin to unlock the big truck. You climb in the driver's side and unlock the other doors manually.

"Ten years later." Benson whined once he got into the car.

"Oh, I am sorry your majesty. I wasn't aware that your still had your face still up your ass." You laughed.

"Haha, Cars, maybe one day you could get a car with automatic locking. This isn't the stone ages." Benson quipped.

"You better get used to it Benson. It is the best looking car in our home town." Sienna pivoted her head and looked at Benson. "Plus this truck has some really good memories in it." She smirked.

"Like..." Avery prompts.

"Like when I graduated high school my brother, Alex and I were standing on the tray and went around to my teacher's houses and egged them." She smiled and you let out a laugh.

"And your year 12 formal... when I accidently ran over your date."

"Yeah... but he is totally okay now." Sienna told the two riding in the back. Her eyes met theirs in the revision mirror. Their faces were wide open and disapproving.

"Where the hell do you live?" Benson cried.

"What do you mean?" Sienna asked. Your eyes were focused on the road; you weren't used to driving on the city roads still.

"I mean, you seem wild."

"Well, we have spent some time in the local police station... Cars parents always paid our bail. But they always roped us in for hard labour on the farm for the next week."

"Carson, quick question... how long will it take to drive 'home'?" Avery asked.

"We might make it there sometime late tonight." You replied easily.

"What?!" She squeaked.

"We live on the other side of the country, what did you expect?"

"No, I just..." Avery started but gave up.

The car went into a silence after that. Sienna turned the radio up and sat back in her chair just watching the road. No one said anything, and after a few hours you were out of the city and on the dirt road.

"What is going on?" Avery questioned.

"We are on the high way." You replied evenly.

"But it is a dirt road."

"Welcome to our highway." Sienna sighed.

Avery and Benson started to chat quietly and you tuned out. You looked over to Sienna, and you reached over and grabbed her hand. "We will make it home for your Dad's birthday."
