Like old times.

just a warning this has more dialogue rather then what's going on inside their heads... because I'm pretty sure you guys get the idea... she's mad. he's mad. Isabel doesn't really get what's going on and everyone else is telling Millie to give him shot .

" why did you say yes if you don't want to go out today?"

"He gave me this whole speech about how I hurt him or whatever"

Its a little passed 7 now and I had Noah pick us up to drive to my parents house. to which I have to say was a bad idea because he's being so annoying asking too many questions. okay. its not all his fault I'm annoyed. I just really don't want this day to begin.

"so?, I think its a good thing."

Of course he does. We can hardly ever agree on one thing. Actually come to think of it I think we only agreed on one thing and that was Isabel's name. "why do you say that?"

"it shows that he cares. Millie I just don't see how this is a problem."
Again. we do not agree. "Noah, there are so many ways this is a problem."

"name one"

"oh I don't know... she could get to attached and get her heart broken when he leaves again. someone could see us and then id be whole story. she wont have a normal life if she' con-"

"Millie, she will never have a normal life. Her dad is one of the big names in music today. you cant protect her forever."

"NOAH!"

"ok ok, geez. what are we doing today anyway?"

Noah doesn't bother waiting in my response as he pulls his phone out and in just two clicks his phone is ringing through the speakers of the car.

"hey Noah, what's up?" as soon as she hears his voice, Isabel puts her tablet down and squeaks out a small "hi daddy!"
" hey babygirl! Good morning!" I can't help but smile at the small interaction. God, they've know each other for just a few hours and they already love each other so much. How can I not smile! Noah notices it as he just gives me a small smirk.

"Hey man, just wanted to ask , were are we going again?"

"oh . uh I'm not really sure. what does she like doing?"

"ice skating" Isabel and I say at the same time.

"oh . hi Millie."

"She takes figure skating classes but Finn its too cold to take her ice skating. Besides the skating rink is always busy."
As if planned both of them question why I pointed that out.
" what does it matter?"
"I don't want my daughter to be all over the media!"
" okay you're right. Why don't we go to your dads cabin? We could just go for a walk by the lake and have a cook out.... like old times."
I scuffed at that last party but I agreed. It can never be like old times.
A. We have a daughter
B. We hate each other
C. We haven't spoken in 5 years...
this should be fun.
" I'm on my way over to your dad's house Millie. Do you just want to wait for everyone there and then go or?.."
"Why don't just the three of you go." I look at Noah as I'm about to yell at him but he cuts me off before I get a chance.
" you two still need to talk things over . You have a lot more to discuss and the drive over there is like an hour and a half."
"Is that okay with you Millie?"
"Can we mom?" I turn to look at her . Which was a mistake because she gives me the best puppy eyes she has. The kind that I can never say no to.
" sure baby. Whatever you want."
" ok awesome . I'll see you guys in about 10 minutes."

"Grandpa Dave!"
" sweet Isabel!"
Isabel jumps from my arms as we arrive just a few minutes before Finn is suppose to arrive. I'm not one hundred percent sold on the idea of just the three of us driving up to the cabin but Noah's right. We need to talk. It helps that Isabel sleeps a lot during long car rides so we won't really have to worry on holding back.
My mind can't help but drift to that fact that  it's like a family road trip. I imagine how these past years we could've probably made it a tradition to go out to the cabin every once in a while to just relax. As a family.
" how are you doing kid? "
"Just about as amazing as you'd think."
" I promise you millie that everything that needs to happens, will happen. It won't seem like it in the moment but everything will turn out ok." I feel my dad hug me. I didn't know I needed a hug from him till he did and it was so reassuring. He made everything okay in that moment. But as if on cue, a black Escalade pulls up and a very large man gets out to open the door for Finn .
I look around and everyone has the exact same look on their face . "What the -"
" I begged him not to come but he wouldn't listen! My manager says I need "security" because it can be "dangerous" but I don't think so."
" it's fine Finn. It's honestly a little less than I expected."
"what did you expect?"
" a limo probably with like a police escort? Bullet proof windows and-"
My dad stops Noah before he can keep going and steps forward towards Finn
" Wolfhard "
" yes, sir?"
" I don't know how I tolerated you hurting Millie, but I did. But if you so much as make Isabel feel bad about anything at all, I will personally kill you with my own two hands. Got it?"
"Yes sir I promise. "
In that moment Isabel came running outside holding two cookies.
" daddy! Grandpa Dave this my daddy!"
Finn picks her up and gives a quick peck on the cheek to which she replies to with a hug. Once more , I can't help but smile.
" what do have there baby?" I point to Isabel's pockets.
" oh I got a cookie for mommy, daddy and me, we can eat them when we leave."
" thank you Bel . Speaking of that should we get going?"
" uh yeah just . Does he have to take us?"
" I told him he can drive behind us in a separate car."
" ok well I'll see you later dad, say hi to Nona for me please, sorry I didn't go in. And Noah please let me know as soon as you guys are on your way. Oh and Finn , her car seat is in Noah's car."
I begin walking towards the truck when Noah pulls me aside.
" I know you don't want to but please listen to him?"
" I'll try."
It's not much put it's a step. I know this will be the longest car ride of my life but I'm also excited. As much as I hate Finn. I can't deny how much I missed him. I missed how everything was. The old days where we acted like what we had was forever and we didn't care about the future. Truth be told a part of me wishes we can pick up where we left off.

Don't hate me! I tried to update faster but I've been crazy busy with work, presents, family, etc. anyway hope you liked this and HAPPY NEW YEAR MY LOVELIES!!!
