Sadie pulled me into her arms and laid my head on her chest cradling me.trying to get me to be strong but I can't.

Doug and Caleb had followed him after he left. I went inside and sat in the living room pouting like a child while my actual child was sitting on the rug.
" where'd daddy go?"
Sadie and Lizzie both looked at me with worried eyes while Noah answered Isabel's question
" he went to go get something we forgot at the store. He'll be back soon."
I look at Noah and be gives me a stern look as let's out a sigh.

We all turn to look at Sadie who's phone began rigging.
" hey Babe, did y'all catch u- what?"
Sadie's face dropped and she was showing no emotion but her eyes began to water. I stood up walking over to her a bit.
" Caleb what are- but why? No. Ok. Ok . I got it! Love you too. Bye."
" what happened ?"
My stomach sunk at the way she looked at me with worry in her eyes .
" Noah, Liz can I uh- can I talk to you guys in the kitchen."
" Sadie you're scaring us."
" just listen to me please."
As they walked to the other room I sat next to Isabel and began playing with her hair. I whipped my head around when I heard Noah's high pitched 'oh my god'. Soon after that Lizzie came out of the kitchen.
" hey uh Isabel, why don't you help me with something upstairs real quick. Millie . Sade's wants to talk to you." She has this look in her eyes. Almost like putty? Empathy? I listens and walk into the room noticing Noah and Sadie both sniffling and letting out small gasps of air.
" Sadie what's going on?"
" Millie I- I don't know how to say this." I shift my eyes from Sadie's to Noah's who's behind her only to see him look away and release a small cry.
" Sadie what's wrong?"
She held both my hands and took a deep breath as I try to look her in the eye as to get a clue on what it was."
" Caleb and Doug went after him. But uh- they  - god they got there and saw his truck flipped over."
My knees felt weak as soon as she said it . I body felt warm and cold all at once and I could do anything but look at her
"No. Sadie no .. no not Finn . Sadie tell me your lying . Please tell me your lying . TELL ME YOU'RE LYING SADIE PLEASE .  TELL ME HES OK . Sadie please.. " I fall to my knees and I feel a pain in my chest . My eyes burn and my head feels as if it's not getting enough oxygen. I feel an excruciating pain in heart and I re live every horrible thing I said not 10 minutes ago and I beg for me to wake up from this horrible nightmare.

I wanted him to hurt but never like this.
" Millie?"
I turn and notice Mary. Without a thought I let go of Sadie, running towards her and hugging her so tight.
" I'm sorry, I so sorry. I never wanted this Mrs. Wolfhard I'm so sorry."
I break down once more along with her and feel two more pair of arms wrap around us. As I pull away Nick asks why.
" I always wanted to tell you guys but you're his family and I couldn't bring myself to do it."
" do what?"
I look behind me to where Sadie is and she nods coming up next to me. She holds my hand and squeezes it to assure me that it'll be ok.
" I have a daughter. She's a smart, beautiful, and talented little 4 year old"
I pause and look at their faces that've turned into a small sad smile.
" what's her name millster?"
" Isabel. Isabel Wolfhard."
Those sad faces  went from a confused to a shock in seconds and I squeeze Sadie's hand when they don't say anything after about a minute.
" I'm sorry I did-" I'm interrupted Eric as he steps towards me and gives me a hug. I hug back right away and I let out a sigh.
" where is she?"
" she's at home with the guys. I didn't want her to see millie like this."
" does Finn know, you know that he has a kid?"
" I told him on Friday the day he got here. That's what we - that's why we we're out in the cabin yesterday. He wanted to get to know her and we got in this big fight and I told him to leave and I'm so sorry."
" nick can you please go ask if they have any new information on my son please. Eric can you go with him."
Both men nod at Mary but Eric stops to  gives her a quick kiss and hug and follows his son down the hall.
" I'll go get some coffee. Can I get you anything mrs. Wolfhard?"
" I'm okay sweetie thank you ."
Sadie nods and walks into the opposite side of the hall way
" Millie why didn't you say anything. How can you keep this from us?"
" I was scared you'd tell him. I know I can trust you but that is your son."
" if you knew it was wrong to keep it from him, why did you do it."
" because I was hurt."
It was the stupidest excuse to come up with but Mary took it as a answer and just gave me a smile as she takes my hands into hers.
" I would love to meet her." I return the small and we both turn our heads as we hear the elevator doors open.
" No this is it, nick texted me the floor number. Look it's Mrs. Wolfhard and ... Millie?"
We both stand up and walk towards Ayla, Jack and Malcom and greet them with a hug.
" where is he?"
" Nick And Eric went to ask for information"
" Millie what happend?"
I look at Mary who holds me right as I let out another cry.
I can't be strong. Not when the love of my life is in a hospital bed and it's all my fault.

I hear an un familiar voice behind the band.
" Stephanie, I'm so glad you're here."
I look up and lock eyes with the beautiful blond .
"As soon as I heard I called up Ayla and asked to come along with them. I couldn't be away from him like this. What happened to him?"
As I listen to her, it truly dawns on me that he did have a completely different life. And it made me feel even worse.
" It was my fault."
They all look back at me waiting for me to continue.
I walk forward and stick my hand out.

I look at Mary and close my eyes.
My whole life just fell apart in 3 days.
