*Hey, you're still coming here at 6:30 right?* I text Luke.

*what are you talking about??*

*for the dance. you said you'd come to my house at 6:30 for pictures..."

*oh right.. Do you just wanna skip it? I mean pictures are kind of stupid.*

*no, I don't want to skip it, my parents got a photographer and pictures are not "stupid"*

*fine. see you then*

'Why would he want to skip pictures!? He's known about this forever!' I think to myself as I curl my hair. As disappointed and hurt as I am after seeing Luke kissing Saide, I've still managed to save some excitement for the home coming dance. Its 5:50 now so I should probably go have a snack so I can then brush my teeth and do my makeup.

When I get down stairs, there's a small group of people gathered in my living room. My mom and dad's parents, my sisters, my aunt, and my mom and dad. 'why so many people just for pictures?' I think to myself.

Once I'm done eating my cold slice of pizza, it's time to go and do my makeup. The silver eyeshadow will match my silver and baby blue gown perfectly.

It's now time to do what I've been waiting to do since I got the gown three months ago. As I slip into gown I can't help but feel like royalty. I love the silver rhine-stone V-neck and how the straps magically come out of the top and sit just below my shoulders. As I strap on my heels, I can't help but admire the dress's baby-blue silky quality.

I never like to sound vague and full of my self, but I really do feel beautiful in this gown and with my perfectly curled caramel blond hair.

Ding dong.

"Sydney!! Luke's here!" my mom calls up to me.

It's finally time!

I grab my clutch, put on my rings and head down stairs.

When I see Luke at the bottom of the stairs, all of my anger from earlier vanishes. Its amazing how he does that to me. His shiny blond hair that's usually quiffed up is slicked back tonight and his dreamy blue eyes shine up at me as I come down stairs. He's so handsome.

"You look gorgeous." he whispers in my ear as he hands me my corsage.

"Thank you, you look good too!" I say back giddily and I'm returned with a small smile.

When we get into the living room, gasps fill the room, and even more people than before are gathered in there, some people I don't even recognize.

"You look stunning Sydney!" my grandmother says as I hug her, "and you must be Luke! I've heard all about you!" she says while embracing him in a hug too.

"Yep, that's me!" he says returning the hug and smiling. I can't help but laugh cause of how much shorter my grandmother is than Luke.

"Sydney, you look like a vouge model!!" Luke's mom says to me.

"Thank you."

"Okay! Everyone, it's now time for pictures!" my mother yells above all the noise.

Thirty minutes later, Luke and I finally arrive at the dance. Tonight is going to be perfect!! I hope.
