The Struggle

Ashton's POV.

"I love you." Finally, I have that off my chest. But she needs to know how much I really love her.
"I love you so much, Sydney! I love you more than having air in my lungs, I love you more than life! Hell, without you in my life, life would be pointless but I really can't put my love for you into words except for the fact that for you I would risk it all! I'd take a bullet for you any day if anyone ever tries to hurt you I would break them to pieces. Or at least I'd try my best considering that I'm in the hospital for being beaten up but even if you don't love me back, I'll never give up on trying to make you love me because I'd rather not live than never have your love at all. But even saying all that, still doesn't express how much I love you, Sydney."
"Ashton," Sydney says sounding like she's out of breath.

Sydney's POV.
I love Ashton. I've never realized it until now. I mean, I've talked to Emma about how much I like him and I've definitely thought about him and I dating before but I've never actually realized that I love him until now. I just know I do. And what Ashton has just confessed to me, I realize that I feel the same way about him.
"Ashton, I love you." I tell him with a smile on my face. This is the first 'I love you' that I've ever said that actually makes me feel something warm inside. I mean obviously with Luke I had feelings for him and he made me feel that way but with Ashton it's just a whole new feeling of warm inside.
Do I kiss him now? I mean, Ashton and I have exchanged many kisses in the past days that we've been hanging out together but I mean, is this the right time? I'm usually so sure of this stuff but now, have no clue. It seems like Ashton has already made a decision. I feel Ashton pull me onto his lap and put his hands on my cheeks and just as he's about to kiss me, he stops. He stares into my eyes and asks, "You really love me?''
I then intertwine my fingers through his hair and press our lips together. Our lips move in perfect sync together and once we pull away I state,
"Yes, so much!"I say as I give him a lingering peck, " I love you so much, Ashton." Saying that earns a huge smile and deep dimples that I want to stare at for the rest of my life.
"So uhm..This is kind of off topic, but, we haven't been on an actual date yet." he says after giving me a peck.
"Well, maybe we can go on one once you get out of here." I offer.
"I'd like that!" Ashton says with a smile as we give each other a few more kisses and I cuddle into his chest and drift off to sleep.
