A smile tugs at my lips as I walk back into my house, the feeling of Sydney's lips, still lingering on mine. When she kisses me, I feel like nothing else matters. She can take away what ever pain or any other feeling that you are feeling at the moment with her lips and replace it with pure euphoria.
"So, who's this Sydney?" my mum asks me.
"My friend." I inform her, although I think we might be the slightest bit more than friends, or at least I'd like to think.
"She seems awful friendly." my mum accuses.
"Sure, I guess."
"So how long have you been seeing her?" my mum asks me. Wait, she thinks Sydney and I are dating!? I mean, I don't mind her thinking that because that's all that I've wanted since as long as I can remember but, she really thinks that Sydney and I are dating?
"We aren't dating. She just broke up with her boyfriend and she came to talk to me about it." I correct her.
"Well, for just getting out of a relationship, she seems very open with you." What is she talking about?
"What do you mean by very open with me?" I question her. If she's inferring that Sydney dumped Luke to be with me and is going to do that to me than she's up for a rude awakening.
"What I mean is that, I think that she is moving a little fast considering that she just got out of a relationship and now she's kissing you."
"Mum, you have no clue what goes on between Sydney and me! Ever since we arrived in America all that you've wanted for me was to make friends. Sydney has been the only one to offer me her time and I'm not going to turn that down. Look, I get that you're concerned for me but you don't have to worry about me, I can take care of myself and I know that Sydney isn't going to hurt me." I feel a little bit guilty for yelling at my mum like that but it's only the truth. I can take care of myself, and I do know that Sydney isn't going to hurt me.
"Well okay then." My mother says as she throws her arms up in defeat.
"C'mere." I say to her as I walk towards her with open arms.
"I love you, Ash." my mum says as she kisses my chest.
"I love you too, Mum." I say as I kiss her head and rub her back.

As I lie down on my bed, I can't help but smile again and replay tonights events in my head. I've always knew that I've felt something strong for Sydney but tonight has made me realize that I will do anything to be able to call her mine.
Mine. Such a simple word, yet it holds so much meaning.
That night I sleep the best that I ever have. I didn't dream of Sydney or anything else. All that I felt was the ever lasting tingle of her lips on mine.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
When I wake up this morning, I have to think about last night, yet again, to make sure that the events were real. Once I'm done making sure that I wasn't hallucinating, I get up and start getting dressed, with the smile never leaving my face. As I'm fixing my hair, I notice something brighter and happier about the look on my face. I can't exactly put my finger on it but something looks different. I then make my way down stairs, quickly eat two apples, and make my way out the door and start to walk to school because of Michael Clifford and his obsession with popping bike tires.
About half way through my walk to school, a red car pulls up beside me and honks it's horn at me.
"Get in Irwie!" a familiar, feminine voice says to me.
"Okay Mrs. Irwie!" I reply back to her as I get in the car.
"Oh, so I'm your wife now?" she asks me as she leans over and pecks my lips.
"I'd like to think that you will be one day." I reply back with a cheeky smirk.
"Day by day, Irwin, day by day." she says as she grabs my hand.
The car ride to the rest of school is very peaceful. Sydney driving while I caress her hand and give her the occasional peck on the cheek. Once we get to school she asks me, "What's your first class?"
"Bio, how 'bout you?"
"Oh my gosh which bio class!?" she asks quite excitedly.
"AP." I inform her.
"With Mr. Gruk?" she asks. I don't mind, but why is she so insistent about knowing what class I have.
"Yeah." I say slowly.
"OH MY GOD!!!!" she screeches as she wraps her arms around me.
"What?" I ask, still oblivious to what she's so worked up about.
"I was just moved into that class!!" she says with shinning eyes.
"Oh great!" I say happily.
"C'mon! We can get a seat together!" she says ambitiously as she leaps out of the car and grabs my hand once I meet her at her side of the car. She practically drags me the rest of the way to the front doors, through the halls and to the class room door where we wait for a half hour until we're let inside.
Once we are allowed inside, Sydney and I take the seat where I usually sit, alone, and the classroom starts filling up quickly. A green haired Michael and his posey start coming in with about thirty seconds to spare before the bell rings.
"What are you doing with Hemmings' girl Irwin?" he broadly asks
"I'm not Hemmings' girl Michael and leave Ash alone!" Sydney stands up for me. Great, one more thing to be made fun of about, having a girl stand up for me.
"Did I ask you, Sydney? No, I didn't, I'm pretty sure Ashton is capable of answering my questions for himself. So, let's try this again shall we? What are you doing with Hemmings' girl!?" he demands.
"She isn't Luke's girlfriend anymore they broke up." I inform him as I feel Sydney grab my hand. Michael takes a peek at her gesture right before he says,
"Watch out for Hemmings, Irwin. He'll be coming for you." Michael threatens.
The rest of class goes by rather slowly and when it's over, it's time for Sydney and me to go our separate ways.
"Well I'll see you after school then." Sydney says as she lingers her hands on mine.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I say as I tilt her head up.
"Nothing really, I'm just going to miss you heh." she says with a sad giggle. I lightly grab her face with my hands and gently place a kiss on her soft lips.
"Don't worry, baby. I'll see you soon okay?"
"Okay." she says with a small smile.Sydney's POV.
The past class has gone by terribly slow without Ashton. Thankfully it's time for lunch now and I'll get to be with my only friend out of many who I actually trust.
"Hi!" My ginger friend Emma says to me as I sit down.
"Hi, I have news." I tell her.
"News?"
"Yes." I reassure her.
"Okay, so what is this news?" she asks me.
"I'm done with Luke." I inform her as I hold my breath and wait for her response.
"Good for you! I really mean that!" she says as she wraps her arms around my neck.
"Thanks and I have more news too!" I say with a much cheerier voice now.
"Spill." she says.
"So you now Ashton Irwin?" I ask her with a smile tugging at my lips.
"That fucked up band nerd? Yeah, I've heard of him."
"Firstly, he's not fucked up and secondly," I say as I take a deep breath, "I'm kind of seeing him."
"What do you mean by, you're seeing him?" she questions, disgust evident in her voice.
"I mean that we've been talking a bunch and hanging out together. Don't judge him, seriously! He's a complete sweet heart and is one of the best people I've ever met!" I gush.
"Sydney, as your best friend, I support all your decisions, but really!? Ashton Irwin? Sydney, you can do so much better than him! I mean, you guys are nothing alike! He's a looser whose in band and you're this popular girl who has everything she could possibly want and not to mention get any guy that she wants and you choose Ashton Irwin out of all the guys here!?" she questions.
"Yes, I do choose him. And he's in no way a looser! He's so talented and I know that he's the one for me. I'd risk it all for him! I mean, yeah, I know that I'm just getting to know him but I have this feeling that he's the one in my heart. And, I know that my heart could be wrong but something's telling me that he's the one. Hell, if my heart was incapable of beating, he could make it beat again all on his own!" I say with a smile.
"Does he make you happy?" she asks. Why is she so persistent about me not being with him.
"Yes! I'd rather have to crawl everywhere with no arms and legs than never have his love! I'd rather fall off a building with only bricks to break my fall than be without him."
"Well, I'm happy for you then." she says with a smile.
"Thank you!" I say as I give her a tight hug.
The lunch bell rings and it's now time to go to history.Ashton's POV.
Finally, it's time for lunch. I don't know why I'm so excited for lunch considering that I have no one to sit with but it's always a nice break. Once I find a table to sit at, I unwrap the sandwich that I got for lunch. Something about lunch feels weird today but I can't put my finger on it.
"Irwin!" an unfamiliar voice calls. I look around the room and then find who's voice is calling my name.
Chad Wright, Luke's wingman. "What are you doing hanging around with Sydney Hanley!?" He yells as all the faces in the room turn in my direction.
"Yeah, Irwin! What are you doing hanging around with my Sydney!?" a voice that I'm unfortunately all too familiar with asks me.
"She broke up with you Luke! And besides, even if you guys were still dating she can do whatSydney's POV.
"Mrs. March may I go to the bathroom please?" I ask my history teacher as she nods her head yes.
Once I step outside the classroom, I hear tons on screams coming from down the hall. Being the curious person that am, I decide to follow the noise. I all of a sudden get this awful feeling that consumes my whole being that something very bad is happening to someone I care about. I start to pick up my pace and before I know it, I'm practically sprinting to my destination. When I get into the cafeteria, there's a large group of people in circle surrounding a group of what looks like about four boys. The first head I see stands out to me right away and when I look down at the floor, I instantly recognize the pair of black vans that are connected to a boy's body, lying limp and lifeless in a fetus position on the floor.Tears instantly start flowing out of my eyes as I dive through the large crowd and leap onto my lifeless lover who's body remains out cold on the floor.
{HIII okay so I really like this chapter. It got a bit cheesy when Sydney was talking to Emma about how much she likes Asht0n but oh well.}
