Once you started to calm down, you looked out into the ocean. It was so dark to see, and the ocean looked black.
Yoongi was with Jin talking about something but you couldn't hear them as they were a few tables away. They kept checking on you but trusted Jungkook. Besides, it was not like they could even say anything having to do with siren business since he was here.
Jungkook was right next to you and observing you.
"Y/N, do you want to tell me what happened?" Jungkook asked.
Really, you didn't know what else you had to lose. "He said.. he was going to let me go.. which is of course what I asked for, because I made the choice to stay with Jimin and Yoongi.."
"Hoseok's giving up?" Jungkook sat up and he seems surprised.
"Yeah.. I mean, I was the one who asked for this.. and I shouldn't expect him to hold on. He should be free from me and my—"
"Y/N, what did he say exactly?"
"What? Why? He just said that he realized that he's not respecting my decision. He says that what he's doing is causing problems for me."
"Fuck, I have to go." Jungkook said as he stood up.
"Wait! Jungkook!" You yelled as you grabbed his arm. You couldn't help but worry. Jungkook's whole demeanor had changed. "What—"
"Y/N.." Jungkook said quietly, "If you can see how Hoseok truly is, then you should know that against how strong he appears to be, there's an equally as strong other side of him fighting it."
You wondering about a million things that could have possibly meant, but none of them were good.
"If you really made your decision and this is what you want, then let it be." Jungkook said and you could tell he's trying hard not to worry you. Suddenly, though, he pulls you close to whisper to you, "Y/N, Hoseok's the one who told me that if you truly love someone, you fight for it no matter what. Please imagine how much of him it took to let you go, okay? He loves you.. a lot more than you think. All he wants is for you to be happy. But do you want you to be happy, too."
"I.."
"If you do, then you need to tell him—tell everyone the truth. Including yourself." Jungkook said then walked off.
When he left, Jin called out to you, "Y/N, is he okay? What's going on?"
You took a second to wake up from everything, and even then you were still worried about why he left in a rush. Did it have to do with Hoseok? Of course it did.
It had to be important, but should you even go after him?
