New Years Bliss

It was Zoe and Madison's first New Years Eve together, and they planned to spend it with each other, but naturally their friends caught wind of their plans and decided to involve themselves as well, which is why the couple were standing in the middle of a heavily decorated loft house with each and every one of their closest friends crowded around them in anticipation. Madison took a sip of her champagne to ease her nerves, and her girlfriend rubbed her shoulder to comfort her too. They shared a smile and moved a bit away from their friends so that they could steal a few moments for themselves before the ball dropped to signify the end of 2018.

"You look beautiful." Zoe said softly, kissing her quickly on her cheek before pulling away to drape her arm around her shoulder. The blonde nuzzled the taller girls cheek with her nose and she looked at the television, not even noticing the eyes lovingly observing her from the side.

"You look beautiful too, Zo." Madison replied, smiling up at the girl who had become her whole entire world within a matter of months. Love wasn't her forte in the slightest, but the brunette made her believe in it, and she was so thankful for her patience and support throughout this difficult year. 2018 wasn't kind to her, nor was it kind to the girl standing next to her, but she only hoped that 2019 would be better for both of them, because they truly both deserved all the happiness the world could possibly offer to them.

"10.. 9.. 8.. 7.. 6.. 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1... HAPPY NEW YEARS!!" Their friends screamed out as multiple pieces of confetti floated down from the ceiling, covering the two girls as they shared a kiss, their hands cupping one anothers faces as their lips moved together. When they pulled away, they smiled at one another yet again and embraced tightly, standing like that for a long time before pulling away and turning to their friends, who all wore looks of happiness and approval on their faces at the sight of the two girls who were very much in love with one another.

"Happy new years Madison Montgomery, I love you so much." She said, a smile seeping through her words as she kissed her girlfriend on the cheek, which was slightly flustered from all the excitement around her.

"Happy new years Zoe, I love you so much too." She said in response, standing on her tiptoes to press a fleeting kiss to the brunette's parted lips. They held hands as they went to join their friends once more, who welcomed them with wide open arms. They drank and danced well into the early hours of the morning, and by the time they laid down to go to sleep, they were the last two awake. They faced each other on the pallet that had been made for them near the couch and said nothing, they didn't have to, because both knew what the other was thinking without them having to say it.

 "God I love you."

"I love you just the same and even more."

They held on to one another with an intensity neither of them knew they had, and they enjoyed being together, being permitted the time to spend this holiday with the people they loved and each other. When the pair finally drifted off into sleep, they prayed that 2019 would bring them nothing but happiness, but they knew they would get that happiness either way, all because they had each other, and that was more than enough for both of them.

A/N: This is so bad I'm screaming skskks but this is kinda personal, considering I wrote Zadison as my girlfriend and I and how I wish we were spending new years together :(
