{ Zoe and Madison explore an abandoned house on the edge of town and decide to have a little fun. }

It was Halloween night, and instead of being curled up on the couch watching the all night hocus pocus movie marathon, Zoe Benson was pulling on her vans to meet up with her girlfriend Madison, who had just gotten back from France and was in dire need of some adventure, something that was apparently lacked during her overseas trip. She quickly tied her hair up into a half knot on top of her head and grabbed her flashlight from her bedside drawer, quickly arranging her pillows to make it look like she was safe and sound in bed in case her parents came home early and she wasn't there. Once she made sure everything was the way it should have been, she opened her bedroom door and bounded down the short hallway, taking the stairs two at a time in order to meet the impatient blonde on time. When she got to the front door, she unlocked it and pulled it open, nearly falling backwards in shock when she saw the shorter girl standing in front of the door, her hands shoved deep into the pockets of her black parka as she popped a bubble in her mouth.

"Jesus fucking christ Mads, way to scare the shit out of someone." Zoe said breathlessly, holding her hand against her rapidly beating heart as Madison laughed and spit her gum out over the small ledge directly beside her. Once she straightened back up, she raised an eyebrow at her girlfriend, silently asking her if she was ready to go. The brunette answered with a nod and she stepped out onto the porch next to the smaller girl, retrieving her house key from her pocket and locking the door to avoid any conflict. Once she had slipped the key back into her pocket, the blonde grabbed her hand and dragged her off of the front porch, exchanging the warmly lit and inviting home for the cold and unnerving darkness that surrounded them as they walked to where they were going, which was a dilapidated plantation farmhouse that had been constructed in the 1700's by an unknown constructor, which made her more nervous than she cared to admit.

"Are you sure this is a good idea? Other people might have had similar ideas and used it as a party place.. or something." Zoe finished lamely, giving her girlfriend a sideways glance as the blonde tightened the hold she had on her hand, a reassuring gesture in her eyes that would somehow give the lanky brunette the courage to do something so daring. Out of the two, Madison was definitely the more adventurous one in every aspect of their relationship, and Zoe only went along with her outlandish ideas because she loved her and only wanted to please her every way that she was able.

"Don't worry Zo, I'll protect you in case we encounter any supernatural creatures or shitbird teenagers." Madison said in teasing tone, leaning over to let her lipstick coated lips brush against her cheekbone, and from the small gesture, Zoe gained a small sense of confidence. The rest of their short walk was spent in silence, and once they had reached the farmhouse, most of the streetlights had automatically turned off, which unnerved her as they paused in front of the house, trying to figure out how they were going to find a way inside that was safe for the both of them.

"Madison, maybe we should just go and watch Hocus Pocus, I know how much you enjoy watching that movie with me!" Zoe knew her attempts were in vain, and she was proven correct when the blonde got a wicked grin on her face and pointed to a plank that was nearly coming off of one of the windows, the smell of rotting wood nearly making her gag.

"Look, if you want to go back home right now, then you can. But I want to have some ounce of fun before I'm shipped off to another foreign country where I'm restricted from doing anything without a supervisor." Her words sounded sad as she looked up at the crumbling structure, and she felt a pull in her chest at her defeated expression. Before she could stop herself from backing out, she grabbed her girlfriends hands and laced their fingers tightly together, Zoe smiling softly at her as a knowing look passed across her face.
