The last thing Madison Montgomery was looking for when she stumbled into the doors of Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies was love, but she somehow found it in the form of 19 year old advisor Zoe Benson, who was as radiant and powerful as the esteemed Cordelia Goode, who the supreme to the small coven that called these walls home. She was unsure of how she felt for the brunette at first, but over many close experiences, she somehow ended up falling for her but there was one problem; Zoe's longtime boyfriend named Kyle. To her knowledge, they had been together since junior high and were forever bonded, in far more ways than she even realized. She pretended to be happy about the news, making it roll off of her shoulders, but she was truthfully heartbroken. This had never happened to her before, and it left a metallic taste in her mouth. Whenever she saw the couple kiss or their hands find each other's underneath the dinner table, a lump formed in her throat and she found herself unable to breathe. In these instances, she always excused herself and found refuge on the gazebo in the backyard, letting the toxic fumes from the cigarette she almost always had in her hand waft around her as some sort of protective barrier for her fragile heart. On this particular day, she had a cigarette lifted to her lips when she heard the door behind her slide open and she didn't have to turn around to know that it was the tall brunette, who was no doubt worried about her for whatever reasons she had to be. She kept her eyes locked on the trees as the girl saddled up next to her, standing silently next to her as her eyes flitted to the cigarette between her fingers.

"Do you want one?" She said quietly, her eyes still staring straight ahead but her body angled towards hers, indicating that she was at least moderately engaged in their interactions. She saw Zoe nod, and she reached into her pocket and pulled the last one from the pack and held it out towards her, giving her the purple lighter shortly after. She saw her fellow witch lift the lighter to the cigarette hanging from the corner of her mouth, and she felt a small smile tug at the corner of her mouth at the action. She pegged Zoe as being the non smoking type, but to see the turn of events almost made her feel calm and perplexed all at the same time. They finished their cigarettes in harmony, and entered the house together, but the brunette witch was quickly whisked away by the blonde boy who craved her attention at every second of the day, leaving her standing alone by the back door. She swallowed her tears as she retired to the room she shared with Zoe and flopped onto the bed, staring up at the bleakly painted ceiling above her. She imagined a world where her and the brunette were openly together, and Kyle was out of the lives of every coven member all together, but she knew her imaginations would remain as such. She loved Zoe, far more than she ever thought possible, and there was not a goddamned thing she could do about it, for a variety of reasons. She huffed as she sat up in her bed, her eyes landing on the perfectly made bed of her roommate, who had been gone for quite some time now. Since it was just the three in the house, she exited the room and went in search of them. She had an inkling of what they could be doing, and she desperately hoped her suspicions were proved wrong as she searched almost every room in vain. Once she stopped in front of the attic door, she heard quiet movements on the other side and she paused briefly before she pushed the door open. All she could see of the brunette were her legs, wrapped firmly around the waist of Kyle as he thrust himself in and out of her. She saw her hands reach up to dig into his shoulders, and she felt sick as she backed from the doorway, running down the stairs and out onto the front porch. She remained on the steps until the other witches had returned, but the appearance of the supreme is what caused her to rise to her feet.

"Uh Cordelia, do you mind if I speak with you about something? It's not anything related to any of the spells we've been learning or even about witchcraft at all, it's actually kind of personal." She held her breath as she awaited the response of the woman who stood in front of her, who just gave her a kind smile and took her elbow, leading the two of them inside the house, up the staircase, and into her bedroom, where she gestured at the young witch to sit on her bed. Once she had shut the door, she joined her on the bed, giving her full attention to the blonde, who looked nervous.
