TBC; Zoe is a vlogger sksksk sorry for not making that clear

Zoe Benson had just finished the last part of her Valentines day series, and to say she was mentally and psychically drained was an understatement. But her followers requested the content, and as a creator, she wanted to share the intimate details with her fans, whom she loved more than anyone else in the world. She barely had time to hit the upload button on her newest installment, before a knock sounded on the front door of her apartment. She begrudgingly rose to her feet, the pain in her back causing her to wince as she threw open the door and saw her friend Mallory standing on the other side, two large bags overflowing with various clothing items hanging from her wrists.

"I had the most brilliant idea earlier while shopping." She proclaimed, throwing the bags onto the floor and hopping onto the sofa, tucking her feet underneath her petite body as she smiled slyly. Mallory was very superficial and greedy, but she was also a good person and an even better friend, which is why the two girls had been friends for as long as either of them could even remember.

"Then it's probably an either ignorant or just flat out troublesome." She replied as she sat in the empty space next to her best friend, who just nudged her shoulder roughly at the comment. They exchanged a smile before the younger girl began to speak, revealing that she wanted to go to a singles bar so she would get some in before the cursed holiday finally arrived. Zoe cursed at the idea, but after much pressuring from the girl who sat next to her became too much to ignore, so she reluctantly agreed to the stupid idea, not wanting her friend to go out on her own and something potentially bad happen to her if she wasn't there to look out for her.

"It'll be great Z, I promise. Now, let's make ourselves look smoking and have all the girls and boys drooling over the sight of us." She was pulled up from the couch and dragged into her bedroom, still not fully prepared for the events that would be happening before she knew it.

The bar that Mallory had picked out was nicer than ones she had been to for these kinds of events previously, but she still felt uneasy as she remained tucked away in the farthest corner of the room, a lukewarm beer bottle hanging loosely from her hands. She observed the people lounging in different areas of the room, her nose crinkling at the sight of some of them, already fully invested in someone they would no doubt bang once and then never see again. These events weren't for finding long term relationships, they were more so for hookups, which is why her best friend liked coming to them nearly every opportunity she could get, due to her fear of commitment or any stability in an actual healthy relationship.

"ZOEEEEEEEEEE." She felt an arm throw heavily around her shoulders and she wasn't surprised to see the shorter girl standing there, clearly already very intoxicated, which again, wasn't surprising in the slightest to her.

"Having fun babe?" She asked softly, loud enough to where only the girl standing next to her could hear the question and once it had registered, her friend made a disgusted face and shook her head roughly.

"Hell no. Only here for d-drinks." She hiccuped through her words, barely able to get them from her throat before she went silent, presumably due to the amount of bile that had risen in her throat from the effort to get them out.

"Well, do you wanna leave, maybe go home and watch some bad romantic comedies??" She prayed that the younger girl would want to leave as much as she did, but unfortunately for her, she wanted to stay just a tad bit longer, still keen on getting someone to take her home for the night. She rolled her eyes but agreed with her wishes, letting her wander off to do her own thing once more. Zoe was tired of standing, so she rushed to a table and sat down at it, crossing her legs underneath the table and sipping on the disgustingly warm alcohol. She rarely ever drank, but on the occasions that she did, she found the consumption to be mangable and she never let herself get too wasted, not the way that Mallory did. Her fingers traced over the designs on the table and she got so lost in doing that she didn't even notice the girl who lingered inches away from where she sat, but when she did, she nearly choked on the drink that she had just taken a sip of at the sight of her.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." She apologized, patting her roughly on the back to help her stop choking, which ended up being successful as her breathing returned to normal within a matter of a few moments.

"It's okay, sorry for reacting that way when I saw you." She chuckled nervously, her cheeks heating up brightly at how she had just humiliated herself in front of a potential somebody, and she mentally facepalmed when the girl sat across from her, throwing her medium length blonde hair over her shoulder, which was exposed to her eyes. She tried not to focus on the scattering of freckles that disappeared underneath her shirt or the way her skin glistened underneath the fluorescent lighting that surrounded them.

"It's okay, I'm used to those kinds of reactions." She answered, leaning across the table slightly, which gave the brunette a full view of her collarbones, which were prominent and sharp, just like her jawline was. She was dressed in a figure curving, one shouldered, maroon dress that came just barely past mid thigh, which was paired with a pair of black knee high leather boots, which made her appear to be about Zoe's height when standing.

"Well, that must be nice." She awkwardly stated, taking another sip from the bottle sitting in front of her, and she cringed as the taste settled in her mouth, making her feel nauseous. She messed with the rim of the bottle as she conversed with the blonde, who she had now knew as Madison, and that her favorite pastime was to chain smoke and stargaze, two things which were very generic but somehow endearing to her as well for whatever reason there was. By the time the night had ended, the two had made plans to meet up to see each other once again, and to say the brunette wasn't ecstatic for that event was an understatement. Madison was very attractive and quite intelligent, two things Zoe found magnetic in a person she could romantically be involved with, and her thoughtfulness and kind nature only just completed the package. Zoe gave the blonde a ride home since Mallory was near the point of passing out and slumped in the backseat, and the drive to her house was quiet.

"Zoe?" She heard from the passenger seat, and she turned her attention from looking out the window to the shorter girl who occupied the seat next to her, and she was shocked to see her moving closer and closer to her. Before she knew it, she was leaning forward too, and their lips met passionately halfway across the console, shocking both of them beyond belief. Zoe's fingers tangled in her hair, pulling her closer as their kiss became more and more heated, before they finally pulled away from one another to breathe and to stop themselves from ruining whatever was budding between the two of them.

"That was..." Madison began, her lip gloss slightly smeared across her mouth and she felt another blush creep to her cheeks as she observed the gorgeous girl smiling softly at her. Though she looked sweet in this moment, she could see that glint behind her eyes, the sensual and seductive one she hid from people that she wasn't attracted to, and that excited Zoe but also scared her at the same time.

"I know." She whispered breathlessly, tucking a piece of stray hair behind her ear that had fallen out of place in the midst of their intense makeout session. They sat in front of her house for a few more minutes, before Madison bid her goodnight and climbed out of the car, throwing her a quick wink before retreating up the sidewalk and into her house, Zoe sitting in front of the house to make sure she got inside safely before pulling away from the curb, driving at a rather quick pace in order to get back to her apartment quicker so that she could make sure her best friend was sleeping soundly and comfortably in the spare bedroom she had for times like these. When she pulled up to her apartment complex, getting the shorter girl into the house was a challenge, but after 5 minutes or so, she got herself and Mallory safely into her apartment, shutting and locking the door swiftly behind her once she had entered the place she called home. Once she had gotten her friend into bed and made sure she was tucked in, she went to bed herself, but she couldn't sleep. Her mind was running rampant with thoughts of Madison and she grumbled to herself as she kept tossing and turning in order to help herself to fall asleep. Eventually, her eyes began to grow heavy and the abyss of sleep was fast approaching, but not before instilling one last memory of the blonde inside of her head before she could fully fall asleep.

The sensual glint in her eye.
