"You've gotta be kidding me." Rena looked at me dissapointed after I finally told her the events of the last few days as she impatiently waited for her black icecream.

Her response was to when I told her how I fell asleep in the middle of the first Harry Potter movie.

"Any body else in your place would have freaked the fuck out for an opportunity to even talk to the guy let alone cuddle him! You could have used that to your advantage but noo Delilah had to fall asleep." Rena ranted, calling in the attention of a few people passing by.

We were currently at a festival. To be specific, the BandFest which was held in our town annually to support new local musicians as well as helping businesses make a profit. Every year nearly everyone in town came because it was a blast, and had the best music most years.

"Shh. It was awkward. He may have told me he might like me right before, Rena!" I whispered, not wanting anyone to know my business.

Rena screamed. Like actually screamed and then grabbed my arm shaking my fragile body everywhere causing me groan.

"Calm down bitch you act like I'm getting married." I muttered blushing at the attention everyone passing by was giving us.

Rena received her aesthetic icecream and I got my own cotton candy scoop covered in rainbow sprinkles.

Before I licked it, Rena gave me an incredulous look.

"Are you crazy? We have to take pictures of these. They're too beautiful to not."

My palm hit my face and I groaned. Typical Rena.

My hand was grasped by Rena's as she pulled out her expensive phone and quickly began taking about 30 photos because "gotta get that angle, Delilah."

When I finally got my precious icecream back I took a generous lick and moaned in delight.

A grin made its way into my face as Rena and I made our way to the display for a new coming band. My old friend told me about and after all the teasing I gave him for being in a band with his dad I owed it to him to cheer him on.

The breeze wafted through the air making our hair blow everywhere and I moved my icecream far away from my hair and squealing while watching Rena coat her own dark hair with the thick black substance that was melted from her icecream.

The concert began playing and lyrics blasted through the air as I smiled in content.

I know I'm not the only one.
That you call you're love.

In a world where you have me, why'd you choose him?

I know you think you're all that but darling here's some advice.
You're in love with a douchebag.

I laughed at the lyrics that Trevor told me about loving how well it went together with Trevors bandmates voice. The whole chorus according to Trevor was supposed to have a tinge if humor and attract alternative rockers attention and I thought he was successful.

Nine years and nine more, hate to break it to the eighteen year old whore.

Took my heart and threw it out,
Before he even came about.

My mind struggled not to drift to Aspen at the thought of relationships and my happy buzz was replaced with a warm jittery feeling surrounding me.

I danced to the raunchy lyrics and laughed when Trevor miserably failed at stage diving and Rena headbangs so hard that her drawn on eyebrows managed to begin fading somehow.
