Aaliyah

I knocked on Aubree's door one more time before reluctantly walking back to my car.

"Aaliyah?!" He stood in his doorway in nothing but polo sweat pants.

"Hey.." I walked back, feeling stupid for even coming here.

"What's up?" He let me in.

"I..." I couldn't find the words to even being. "So w-what happened.." I realized I wasnt going to make sense so I stopped myself.

I was frustrated because I couldn't explain why I was here at almost 3 in the morning.

My eyes were burning and I knew I was about to lose it.

"I just can't." I broke down.

Mike found me and had been banging on my door for the last hour.

I finally worked up enough courage to run.

Aubree held me until I calmed down. I know we stood in the same spot for 10 minutes.

"Whenever you're ready to talk, I'm listening." He whispered.

"Aubree, I'm scared." I calmed down but I was still shaking a little.

"Lets lay down." He said.

I couldn't move.

He began walking away but stopped when he realized I wasnt following.

"Aaliyah." He came back. "Ima pick you up, aight?"

I simply nodded. He picked me up and carried me upstairs to what I'm assuming is his room.

He laid me down and stripped me out of my clothes then walked away.

He came back with a shirt and put it on me.

"We can lay here until you wanna talk and if you don't wanna talk then I'll just hold you." He got in the bed and wrapped the cover around us.

I cuddle up next to him and it felt like all my fears from 30 minutes ago were gone.

I finally fell asleep.

Aubree

I didn't know what was wrong so I called Jas.

"Hello?" She sounded wide awake anyway.

"What's up, sis?" I whispered.

"Nothing. What's wrong?" She asked.

"I need you to bring Aaliyah about a weeks worth of clothes to my house." I got to the point.

"What's going on?" She asked.

I shrugged. "She wouldn't tell me. She cried herself to sleep."

"I'm on my way." Was all she said before disconnecting the call.

25 minutes later Jas sent me a message saying she was outside.

I went down the stairs and let her in.

"She's upstairs." I stepped out of her way.

Jas jogged up the stairs and I left them alone. I know there's some stuff they need to discuss alone.

I went into my office.

I unlocked my computer and began looking over the numbers from the previous week.
