9:00am...

Aaliyah (17 Weeks 🌱)

I walked into the office, out of breath as I approached my desk.

All I do is work, eat, shower and sleep. I dance when I can but usually, issa no from me.

"You're getting bigger every second." Trish laughed as she gave me my new favorite frappe.

"Oh my god, thank you." I began chugging it down.

"Mr. Shan called and said he won't be in today." She told me.

"Why?" I scrunched up my face.

"He didn't give a reason." She shrugged.

I've been working under Shan lately and progressing very rapidly towards my new position.

I did plan on taking some people with me but I'll definitely be leaving majority behind.

I was moving on to better and some colleagues weren't happy with that.

That was fine too.

I sat down for a moment before my phone began ringing.

"Hello, Aaliyah Davenport's office, this is Trish Wiggings, how can I help you?" She answered.

She spoke on the phone and jotted down notes for some time before hanging up.

"Shan said, We have to attend court at eleven, apparently there is a breech in our court order with someone. We have to go over to the office that's about twenty miles away, on London drive and sign off on some paperwork, initiating a search for some parents. We have a late lunch meeting, discussing with other county supervisors about ways to enhance and improve our jobs, budgets, etc." She filled me in.

I shook my head. "Is it too late to back out of this shit?"

"It is." She laughed. "I'll gather my things."

I paged Jameson who has become my right hand man for everything, including maternity clothes.

"You have everything here situated? Shan is out so I have to handle his workload alone today." I quickly explained as I gathered my things.

"Absolutely." He assured me. "Go be a big boss." He patted me on my shoulder as I walked out.

"Hopefully this will prove that I'll be ready soom." I told him.

"Hopefully." He laughed.

7:45pm...

I sat at my desk finishing up paperwork that needed to be completed, filed and put away before I left today.

Everyone was gone and I had sent Trish too because she has been here day in and day out just like me, she needs her rest.

Jameson was still here though, he refused to leave me here alone so he's in his office doing work as well.

I yawned as I sat back in the chair, the massage I need is screaming my name as soon as i get a day off.

A knock on my door made me look up.

"Shan, hello." I greeted him.

He smiled and took a seat.

"How was work today?" He asked.

"Very draining but a good 'what to expect'" I rolled over to my printer.

"That's good, guess what?" He smiled.
