Finals begin

I take a deep breath as the elevator descended, "Things are getting out of control." I said.

"Indeed, you feel it too don't you?"

"Yeah, something is going to happen. An Elder is here, Kurumi feels threatened, Cinder hacking the matches. I don't like this, not one bit."

"Are you going to take action?"

"No not yet." I said as I leave the elevator, "The finals should be starting soon."

I changed into my usual combat attire as I was preparing for the finals. Sitting alone I thought about how many mistakes I have done, how many lives I ended, how many of them were innocent? I gaze at my hands as I clenched them tightly. Silvia Schnee, the one who raised Midori for five years, I killed her. It was no accident... I almost killed Midori. Now she is responsible for all this change in me. My past is something I want to be buried but I feel like it will come back and haunt me. Maybe not now but one day it will.

"F/N?" I turned to see my mother standing there.

"Yes?" I said turning back.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Not really..." I said sitting there.

"What's wrong?"

"I have an uneasy feeling... Am I really worthy of such a life... After everything I did... Everything I was about to do?" I said.

"I know how you feel... I get the feeling everyday. My twin sister is gone and I raised her daughter, should I really be happy about this. Akame is only my niece, but that doesn't stop me from loving her like my own daughter. She is all I have of my sister after all. I'm not saying you should reveal your past to everyone, I know how bad it is... A past that even your siblings don't know about. The burdens of an older sibling. I will never understand, maybe that why you and my sister got along so well. Like she was your mother."

"You're wrong. I only have one mother, you. Lily was my sister." I said, "I have always been grateful for what you and father have done. Even when I was a monster you two never abandoned me."

"I will never abandon my children, especially now since our family is about to grow! Heard you proposed to four women today!" She got excited, "I know you plan to propose to others! So who's next?"

"I have a tournament to go to." I said leaving.

"Hey get back here and tell me!!!"

"Act your age mom!" I yelled.

"Then tell me who's next!"

This side of her annoys me, but she's my mother. I can't help but enjoy these moments since I know she does this because she still deeply cares for me. Despite my stoic and intimidating exterior I enjoy these moments with my mother.
