Amber's Weakness

"It's all his fault. He used you, he didn't care about any of you, only for himself."

"No he cares for Midori. He willing to do anything for her. That's the one thing that makes me want to help him." Amber said.

"Amber you okay?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah I'm fine." She lied.

"You are just like him. A liar and willing to use anyone to get what they want."

"Shut up..." Amber growled.

"You sure you're okay?" Nora asked.

"Yes I'm fine. Can we keep moving." Amber said annoyed.

The day continued without any more disturbance. Of course a fee Grimm decided to try and attack the group, but were quickly dispatched by them. Especially Amber, who showed no mercy to the creatures. A Beowolf leaped towards her as she dodges it and was ready to slash it with her sword, but before she could the Beowolf turned into F/N. She stopped and stared at him, frozen and unable to act.

"If you don't take him out he'll kill you." Said the voice. F/N summoned his scythe and ran at her ready to slice her. Amber stood there unable to do anything.

"Amber!" Jaune yelled as Nora smacked the Beowolf away. Amber regained her composure and looked at Nora as she turned her weapon into a gernade launcher and blew the Beowolf apart.

"You okay?" Ruby asked running up to her, "What happened?"

"I'm fine... I just zoned out." Amber said rubbing her head.

"Weak. You didn't attack because you care for him, you didn't attack because you believed you had no chance. You are nothing but his pawn."

"Come on let's go. We have a lot of ground to cover." She said to the group and began to walk away.

"Your baby sister even chose him over you. She was about to attack you. Your beloved sister turned against you."

"Damn it shut up..." Amber whispered.

That night they decided to camp out in the woods. Amber used her abilities to light a fire as everyone began either gathering firewood or prepping to cook. After eating they were ready to sleep, "Alright so who has..." Ruby began.

"All of you get some sleep I'll take watch for the night." Amber said grabbing her sword and walking away from them.

"Oh... Are you sure... You can get some sleep first." Jaune said.

"Yes just get some rest. I'll sleep next time." Amber said.

"No." Ren said.

"I'm not taking..." Amber began.

"Just because you won't tell us what's wrong doesn't mean we will sit by and watch you destroy yourself." Ruby said, "You need to sleep!"

"We won't sleep if you don't." Nora said.

"Guys I can stay up for five days if needed." She said.

"Amber that doesn't mean you have to." Ren said.

"Doing this will make traveling slow. Just get some sleep I'll take first watch." Jaune said.

"Fine. I'll get some sleep." She said walking back and sitting near the fire.

Amber fell asleep a few minutes later.

A young Amber sat in her home drawing a picture. The picture had her entire family in it, they stood together smiling. Amber noticed Kurumi was a bit distant and depressed so she wanted to draw a picture to cheer her up.
