Separation

I continued to cough blood out of my body as I felt my insides burn. I heard fighting but I couldn't see anything. My vision was blurred due to the constant blood flowing from them. My body burned and my muscles convulsed sporadically. My mind couldn't raced as I felt the agonizing pain. I needed to end it.

"DEATH!" I yelled and a dark aura exploded from my body. I felt my bones snap back into position and my muscles heal, but the electricity became more potent as though it wanted me to suffer. My mouth braced to the point of cramping up to ease the pain. My hands clenched tightly and I held them close to keep them from dislocating again. I could feel my arms trying to move against my will. My focus drowned out the fighting happening around me to keep myself intact.

"Erasing sense of pain, taste, smell, and sight." Death said. After Death shut down some of my senses I began to relax and my body returned to my control. Though I felt exhausted and nauseous. The world felt like it spun as I tried to stand.

"F/N?" Terra called out. I fell forward and began to puke black blood out of my mouth.

"We need to leave!" Kagetane yelled as I heard another slice, "The Grimm are surrounding the place." He said, "Kohina!"

"Coming papa!" She yelled.

"Terra help me clear a path!" Kagetane yelled, "Kohina guide and protect him!" I began to hear the earth shift and a small hand grabbing mine.

"Let's go!" Kohina yelled. I stood up and she quickly pulled me a direction I couldn't see. I was guided across the darkness as I followed her path. I heard a shotgun and pistols being fired as I walked through the woods, "Hurry up." Kohina said. My legs were heavy and every step took ever ounce of concentration, "Lean on me." The girl said.

"No... I'll lose all my strength instantly." I said.

"Then move." She demanded. I heard a beowolf roar next to me but it stopped as I heard something cut it, "Quickly." She said.

"Death. I need to heal." I said.

"I'm trying... Though keeping Ragnarok at Bay and healing you is impossible right now." He said.

"Then eliminate something." I said.

"At this rater I'll have to..." He began.

"Do it." I replied.

"Obliterating memory of James L/N." He said.

"Farewell... Father." I said as I began to forget him.

My body began to feel lighter and I felt the world stabilize around me. My vision began to return as I glanced about the woods seeing a vast amount of Grimm running at us. Kohina had a sword ready, Kagetane was shooting around us and Terra was leading the way using her abilities to protect us as much as she can. My body continues to radiate a black aura to keep itself from shutting down.

"Where to?" Terra asked.

"There's a bridge about a mile north." Kagetane said shooting a beowolf. Kohina began to move quickly and this time I was able to keep up.

Ace was awake sitting outside near a fire. He sighed as began to wonder what to do next.
