TOM 10 -  Starting Things

Seraphim's POV

Sinalubong ako ni Pann na malaking malaki ang ngiti.

"Woah woah. What did I miss?" masayang tanong ko sa kanya.

Niyakap niya ako at ramdam na ramdam ko ang kanyang saya.

"They let us enter the academy!" sagot niya.

Nagulat ako, at namangha. Wishing they would accept others, even ordinary Elementals. Or make branches in different regions na may kaparehas na kalidad ng pagtuturo dito.

Bet that would be one great opportunity for all.

And maybe they should also make one for the Eidolons. My hope for them to go back in our arms is still alive.

"Lahat kami ay pinahintulutang pumasok na dito. Kakalipat lang namin dito noong nakaraang araw. Mahimbing na silang natutulog ngayon. But don't worry about Cattalena, she wont do anything harmful to you, kinausap siya ng Infinitius noong inalok nila kaming mag-aral dito." nagsimula kaming maglakad at nagpatuloy sa pagkukwento sa akin.

Natahimik ako. Actually, Cattalena was out of my mind for the past weeks. Mas gugustuhin ko pa siyang makasama kaysa kay Camilla.

That girl who almost made the whole school to turn their backs against me. With that one mistake, at nung hindi niya ako napatumba dahil don, siya pa talaga ang may ganang umalis pansamantala ng academy.

"Heard you were in a training for the Orblicali." bumalik ang aking ulirat kay Pann.

Guess I would start making friends with them.

"Yep, and after tomorrow, you should be sparring with me." napanganga siya sa aking tinuruan.

"Madaya! Bigyan mo ako ng dalawang taon para makapag-aral ng mabuti, o matapos ko mahanap ang aking kapatid, pagbibigyan kita sa isang duellos Princess Seraphim." turan niya at tumango ako.

Pero curious ako, sino kaya yung hinahanap niyang kapatid? Maliban sa aking great grandmother, wala na akong alam na istorya ng nawawalang kamag-anak.

"Seraphim!" humahangos si Cy papunta sa aming direksyon.

Nakita kong nagulat si Pann, pero hindi ko mawari kung dahil sa pagtakbo ni Cy ng mabilis o dahil sa kanya mismo.

"Excuse me ah, putulin ko lang muna date niyo, I need her." walang pasubali niya akong hinila at iniwang nagtataka si Pann.

Ngumiti ito ng makalayo kami ng bahagya at kumaway sa akin.

Can't wait for the Orblicali to be done. I have so many things to do, to explore. And maybe a bucket list would help me finish all the things I have and will have in my mind.

"We're in danger." nilingon ko si Cy at kumalas sa pagkakahawak niya.

Ang magandang tanawin mula sa himpapawid ay hindi muna tumatalaba ngayon bilang distraksyon sa nangyayari.

"I'm not following you. Kindly explain?" umiling siya sa akin.

"Revv and the others are waiting for us." sinundan ko siya sa paglipad hanggang sa makarating kami sa isang pamilyar na lugar, ang tree house ni Revv.

Inasahan ko na kaya't hindi ako umimik, Seymour is here. Gayun din sila Cierzo, Nami at Revv.

Ano bang nangyayari?

"Let's discuss everything all at once. Wala na tayong oras." panimula ni Seymour.

"Lucernce Magnolia hasn't told anything to me yet." buntal ko at umirap.

Mukhang ako lang yung clueless eh!

"Calm down, he will tell you what's going on." hinila ako paupo ni Revv sa kanyang tabi.

Sumimangot ako pero tumitig ng seryoso si Mour sa akin, yung tingin niyang dalawang taon ko atang hindi nakita.

It gave me chills, unending shivers.

"Lilith escaped." napatayo ako ngunit hinilang muli ni Revv.

"What in Hellica's favor!" I blurted out.

Suddenly, I can't keep still. This kind of fear, I only feel this when the thoughts of my foretold future are haunting me every night even in my dreams.

"Does she know about the Orblicali? She might try ruining it." pag-aalala ni Cy.

"That's why our parents themselves are operating the evil hunt for her." sagot ni Revv.

Nagpatuloy si Seymour sa kanyang pagsasalita.

"We need to be extra careful tomorrow. Hindi ito alam ng younger Phosvocs dahil baka mas mapahamak lamang sila. The three are sleeping soundly habang binabantayan sila nila Piero at Breeze." napanatag ako kahit papano ngunit bahagyang natawa nang tumikhim si Cy sa pagkakabanggit ni Piero. Si Cierzo naman ay umiling.

"Dad informed me that Lilith actually gained supporters secretly through these years. And some of them might have connections inside the school, or worst, with some of the Cardinals." kinutuban ako ng hindi maganda.

"What if Camilla, the Ebbonis have something tot do with this? Remember the siblings didn't attend La Telmene for 2 years! What if they planned or trained?" hindi ko na napigilan, nararamdaman ko ang panginginig ng aking mga kamay.

"What if Camilla did that to me purposely? Aside from her hate towards me? What if it was a mission? What if she did that so that people around me would abandon me? Curse me? Throw me to the darkness?" mainit na mga luha, damang dama ko ang pag-agos ng mga ito mula sa aking mata pababa.

Tila buong katawan ko na ang nanginginig, niyakap ako ni Lucerne at mas lalo akong umiyak.

"You guys know that I didn't hurt her that day, right? You guys do believe in me, right? I didn't try to kill her, I was just defending myself when the Cardinals came and accused me...." nanlalambot kong saad.

It's creeping inside me, the dsrkness, it is eating me again.

Narinig kong tinawag ako ni Revv, pero pinutol siya ni Seymour.

"Naira, your Mom was the darkness, and now, it is you. They can never throw you into it, because you control it, it is in you. Darkness cannot eat you, you will, you will take over it, you will win." it was the first time he spoke to me with this kind of sincerity, the warmth, bigla kong naramdaman yung aura niya.

Nagmulat ako ng mga mata at napansin kong nababalot ng black aura ang akong kamay, maging ang buong katawan ko siguro.

But it is not harming them, not even Lucerne Magnolia who's hugging me. Unlike what happened before, unlike what Camilla told everyone.

"We believe in you, not in Camilla, not in the Rare Four." pirming saad ni Revv.

Unti unti, kumalma ako, napanatag, kahit papaano.

"Wait! I can sense some presence outside!" kahit hindi pa ako bumabalik sa kabuuan ng aking ulirat, sumama ako palabas ng tree house at sinundan ang isang pigurang hindi ko makita nang malinaw na pumunta sa kabilang direksyon, salungat sa tinahak ng lahat ng aking mga kasama.

I am the darkness, the only one, and I'm going to take full control of it, not the other way around.

Late happy holidays and awesome new year peeps! Sorry for the long due update. I am seriously running out of ideas. ㅠㅠ Still thank you for everyone who are reading up until here. Hoping I would finish this as soon as possible. Planning to keep this short, like the first book.
