"I wouldn't be so sure about that," his voice boomed behind her, the vindictive voice of Hades, standing tall and proud with the shining Olympian crystal held tightly in his hand. Regina and Robin turned around to find him with a devilish smirk on his face.
"Stay away from my daughter." Robin said, his body instantly covering the small one of his daughters.
"Oh don't worry I'm not after her," Hades said, slowly pointing the crystal at Regina. The devilish smirk on his face turning to one of victory. "I'm after her," he said finally. The smile on his face growing even more.
"Hades stop, this is not what you want. If you kill me you will lose Zelena forever," Regina pleaded, her eyes widening as her arms pushed out in front of her. She looks at the god, her whiskey colored eyes burning into his. She knew there was no pleading with him. It's never worked before so why with her? Hades just shook his head bringing a finger to his lips. No pleading phased him. After thousands of years in the Underworld he had gotten used to it.
"Shh, she won't know, and this oh it doesn't kill you, it. will. end. you. No underworld, no after life. You go into an eternity of nothingness. One minute you exist the next well you don't, that's what you get for turning Zelena against me!" Hades thrusted the crystal forward his smirk leaving to a cold hardened expression of pain.
"No it was my idea to break in here. Use that on me not her," Robin said, as he moved forward and in front of Regina. Robin held out his hand toward Hades his eyes glazed over with sadness. After just finding his soulmate once and for all, he just couldn't let her die like this. He would save her at all costs.
"Oh sorry ladies first," Hades said with delight. He raised the crystal, the menacing blue light encasing the room. Regina could feel arms go around her, but at the same time not. She didn't know what was going to happen. She expected to feel pain, maybe herself dissipating, but it never happened.
"No!" Hades exclaimed in defeat. The crystal hung limply by his side gazing at the couple laying on the floor in a heap. They both got up off the floor slowly, instantly they both grab on to each other.
"Robin are you alright?" Regina asked as tears welled up in her eyes.
"Yes Regina, perfectly fine," Robin said with that soft smile of his. He cupped her cheek smiling softly, completely ignoring the god on the other side of the room who was staring at the crystal in utter defeat.
"No...no, you...you are supposed to be dead," Hades stuttered as he staggered back in a stunned stare.
"Whose supposed to be dead?" Zelena said as she came bursting through the doors. "Hades what's going on?" she asked after taking in the scene in front of her, confusion spreading across her face seeing Regina in the room. She shouldn't have been able to get in.
"He tried to kill Robin and I with that crystal," Regina growled. Her eyes glazed over with one for vengeance.
"Is this true?" Zelena asked her gaze turning to the god. "Hades answer me!" Zelena yelled after Hades failed to answer.
"Zelena don't listen to them. They are just trying to turn you against me. What about the castle and ruling this world?" He asked in disbelief, why was she acting like this. Why wasn't she on his side! He thought he had won her, but he was obviously wrong.
"Why do we need a kingdom, why can't we just be happy!" Zelena asked tears beginning to form in her eyes as the confusion set in.
"Remember what I told you there is no better revenge—"
"—than having it all" Zelena finished his sentence letting a sigh escape her lips. Regina stepped forward finally having enough of this back and forth discussion, pushing Hades while his gaze was on Zelena. The crystal flew out of Hades hand making him gasp in shock. Zelena catching it looking down in awe, maybe even fear. The realization setting in that this about killed her sister.
