Regina tossed and turned in the uncomfortable hospital bed, she hasn't been able to get sleep yet. She raised up and grabbed the pillows behind her head and stuffed them at her lower back. She laid back down and gradually went to sleep.

"Mommy, mommy! Look at me! Look mommy." A little girl stood in front of Regina she was spinning around in circles "That's incredible sweetie!" Regina smiled and crouched down to her daughters height, she picked her up upside down and began to tickle her.

"Mommy! Mommy stop!" Was all you heard through the fit of giggles. Regina put her daughter down and turned around to grab some type of toy, when she turned around her daughter wasn't nowhere in sight "Baby, where are you. Sweetie come to mommy!" Fear flooded Regina's face as she looked around her backyard, she couldn't have gotten far. "Baby come here, your scaring mommy."

"Mommy." Regina heard a faint whisper, she turned to find her daughter caked in blood, bruises covering her from head to toe, a slit running through her neck. "Baby!" Regina ran to her daughter as she fell to the ground "baby what happened!" Tears threatened to fall down Regina's face "bad man mama, he done it, bad man done this."

The little girl said in gasps, "stay with me baby we will get you to a hospital." The girls eyes fluttered "it hurts mama." Tears fell down Regina's face as she tried to fix her daughter herself "stay with me baby, I'm trying." The little girls chest went up then down and her chest never moved again "No! Baby! No come back! No!" Regina clutched her daughter "no! Come back! Baby! Come back to me!" Tears ran down Regina's face and mixed with her daughters blood.

Blood stained Regina's clothes and streaked across her face "Regina! Regina wake up!" Regina heard someone yell, she felt herself being shook. Her vision began to come blurry, until she saw the hospital room she was sleeping in "my baby is gone." Regina gasped "Regina what was that, what happened." Robin stared Regina in the eyes, fear glazed his eyes as he clutched Regina.

"My baby died right in front of me and I couldn't do anything to stop it!" Regina cried on her husbands shoulder "Hey, Hey, it's alright, how about we go see her okay." Regina nodded her head. Robin grabbed her hand and helped her out of the bed. They went down the hallway until they reached the NICU "Hello what could I do for you?" The receptionist called from the desk beside the door.

Robin guided Regina to the desk "I wanted to come see my daughter here, Baby Locksley." Regina said trying to smile "Okay, do you know what room she is in?" The nurse looked up at the couple "815 I'm pretty sure" Regina nodded her head as she said this. "Okay I will let you in." The nurse pushed a button and Regina heard something click. Robin guided Regina to the door and they walked in and headed straight for room 815.

Once they got there they saw their baby girl hooked up to even more machines. Regina's eyes grew as she saw everything. "Go get the doctor and ask him what happened." Regina sat in the rocking chair. Robin left her to go find someone who could tell him something. "What happened to you baby." Regina stared at all the machines and wires hooked up to her baby girl.

Robin walked back in the room with the doctor. "He caught me on my way to tell you what happened." The doctors face was a bit grim, "Your baby, she coded last night, we just about lost her. We don't exactly know why she did this but we have gotten her stable again. We don't know if she's going to make it right now. We need to do more tests on her to see exactly what's wrong with her. So she might not be able to come home for the full week or maybe more." Regina gazed at the doctor "So she might die." Regina looked down and held her head in her hand.

"Robin I told you it was real! It was trying to tell me that my baby was going to die." Tears already began to form in her eyes. "Hey look at me." Robin lifted up her chin "She has a will like her mother, she is going to fight and make it. She is going to show us how strong she is. Don't doubt her, she will be fine and we will be able to take her home with us soon." Robin grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"We actually recommend skin to skin with the mother, studies show that it helps the baby's healing." "What does that mean?" Regina raised her eyebrows "you lay the baby on your bare chest so that you are touching each other's skin. "I will do it." The doctor nodded his hand "Just tell me when you want to do it, only doctors and nurses can take the baby's out of the incubators."

"I will do it right now." The doctor nodded his head "I will hand you your daughter then, tell me when you are decent." The doctor turned around to let Regina take off her shirt and put her bra on. "Okay I'm ready." The doctor moved to the incubator and opened it, he slowly handed the baby to Regina and placed her on Regina's chest. "Hey baby. You are fine right here." Regina closed her eyes and began to rock the rocking chair. Robin gazed down at his little girl and his wife, they will be okay he thought not knowing if he believed it himself.
