The sun was beginning to set over the small village. The spell has begun but it wouldn't be until sunrise it would finally work. Regina rubs at her face as she stifles back a yawn. "Go on to one of the huts, I'll watch over this." He said softly. Regina didn't argue as she got up and began walking to find a half decent hut to lay down in. She groans internally when Snow came up to her. She didn't even try to hide her facial expressions of discontent.
"For the last time, I'm not telling you anything." She clenched her jaw.
"Regina are we not passed all the secrets? This is hurting you. You need to tell someone about all of this" she said putting her hands on her hips. Regina rolls her eyes and shook her head.
"Snow, I would rather not. Okay? I would like to leave it in the past. Where it belongs." She shook her head, clenching her jaw as she stares at the younger woman.
"It is eating you alive. I've seen you in that cell. Pacing, you've looked more exhausted as the days have gone on. I can see the grief all over your face." She said softly, going to touch her but refrained from doing so.
"It is none of your business. I know how to handle myself. I don't need sympathy, and I certainly don't need anyone to know." She said and starts to snarl when Emma came up.
"My mom is simply trying to help you." She snarks back to her. "Stop being so ill and hateful towards everyone around you, Regina. We are trying to help." She crossed her arms. "Why aren't you with Rumple anyways? We need to get home" she said.
"He told me to go rest. Which is what I was trying to do." She said.
"We need you on that spell so we can get the hell out of here Regina. What the hell" she frowns at her. "We don't need to be here any longer than we have to. Get back over there so we can go home." She orders. This made Regina laugh, but not a humorous laugh. This one sounded dangerous, a bit too much like her counterpart. She steps closer to Emma.
"Don't you ever, ever" she snarls. "Tell me where to go or what to do again in your life." She spits out, her eyes ablaze as she glared at Emma. Emma stepped forward crossing her arms.
"What will you do to me?" She snarks back cocking her head to the side. Regina glared at her and took a deep breath clenching her hands by her side, small sparks flying from her hands. Snow looks between the two, fear starting to form across her face as she steps between them.
"That is enough." Snow said sternly.
"No what are you going to do, your majesty" Emma smirks glaring at Regina. Making Snow's eyes widen by her statement. Regina's eyes flickered taking a step back from her.
"What the hell is your problem?" She said. "Have I not proven I am not like that anymore?" She squints her eyes at Emma. "Or will you always be better than me because you are the savior" she rolls her eyes.
"Wow she said it" Emma gasped sarcastically. "I am better, and you are just proving you are the same old person you have always been, Regina." She said crossing her arms. Regina just shook her head.
"That is not true. I am not, at all like my old self." She shook her head. "You do not know my old self, at all." She said. "My old self, well this situation wouldn't be as calm if I was my old self." She said softly.
"Then if you are not your old self, why are you keeping secrets from all of us? What happened in that castle for her to not care about prisoners, prisoners who were trespassing in her castle. Shouldn't we have been dead? Shouldn't we have been Regina?" She raised an eyebrow.
"It's happened countless times before. Prisoners escaping and I didn't go hunting them. The only one I hunted, was your mother and father." She shrugs. "And people who hid her from me. Those secrets are mine, mine. You have secrets to no one should know about Emma. Everyone does. Don't think I'm special because I want to keep mine hidden." She said and turns around to walk off.
"Yeah I have a lot of secrets. Maybe it'd been better if I had just stayed in Boston in the first place. Hell I wish I had." Emma said. Chills ran up Regina's spine by that sentence and turned around so quick.
"Excuse me?" Regina raised an eyebrow. "You did not just say that" she let out a sarcastic laugh. "You said you wish you had? What about Henry?" She asked and looked at Emma's face, seeing it not change from its hard cold stance. She felt the cold wash all over her and shook her head. "You just stayed to make me feel miserable" she said softly. "That's why you stayed?" She spat. "To try and make me the villain against my own son?" She asked trying to push back her tears. Emma just stayed silent with a look of relish on her face. Snow looked between the two and her face just dropped and looks away slowly stepping back. "You should feel ashamed. You played that boy, so hard." She scoffs clenching and unclenching her hands. Thoughts racing through her head. She wanted to hurt Emma, but that would make her right. "Go back to Boston once we get home" she spat, turning around and walks off to a hut.
"Emma..." Snow said softly but the blonde just turned and walked away from her mother. She felt her heart shatter in a million pieces watching her daughter walk off from her.
