Chapitre 13 - Proposition

Germany | 2006 

It's all hectic in Germany as the country become the host of FIFA World Cup 2006. But for some people, life is still happening here. Just like Eunho who's still have the graduation day despite all the hectic in Berlin.

"Honey, I could not be late for my graduation, you gotta drive faster," Eunho says to Chaeyoung.

"Well I am trying, there will be a traffic jam as well the very front, ya don't worry, you won't be late, I promise"

Ever since the Yugyeom's accident 4 years ago, both Eunho and Chaeyoung only got each other back. All the Korean students union sided with Yugyeom. 3 years ago, Eunho moved out to Chaeyoung's apartment.

Eunho is an orphan, she lived on the Catholic orphan in Geoje until 18 years old. Eunho found her passion in cello at elementary school days. Her teacher taught her to play it for a musical recital. Turns out it didn't take so many efforts to teach her fiddle the cello. On middle school, the nuns through a music foundation gave her cello as a present. Ever since she got the cello, she didn't stop playing. She didn't have the privilege to take a lesson, hence she learned cello by herself and with her music teacher in schools. At high school Eunho joined orchestra club at her school and joined so many competition, she won multiple competitions inside and outside the island. Until one day, a music scholarship came to her from Germany and Austria. Austria is her first choice, but she didn't get it. Then she chose to continue her study in Germany. Eunho's life is a beautiful story to tell. She's an orphan and up until now, she didn't know where her parents are. But she managed to be in this position now. She worked really hard with her cello in Germany.

When Chaeyoung were home for Christmas, she brings Eunho together with her. Chaeyoung introduced Eunho to her family. Chaeyoung's family already expected that her daughter has different sexuality from others. They both accepted Eunho and Chaeyoung with all their heart. What can they say, Chaeyoung is their only child, her parents are both working, Chaeyoung is always a shy kid. They're just glad there's someone who actually there for her. They just feel sorry that her relationship with Yugyeom has now vanished. Yugyeom and Chaeyoung were like Bonnie and Clyde without a romantic relationship back then. 

Chaeyoung who already graduated last year is now working on an advertising agency, ever since she was a student, she worked really hard to get to the top. She won a Cannes Lion Grand Prix awards for the student competition at her 3rd year. It made her easy to start the industry in her early age. Chaeyoung work for BBDO Berlin, one of the top advertising agency in the city as an art director. Not only she great at making visuals, but she's also great planning and ideation.

Eunho arrived at the university hall. She will have her last performance in the campus playing cello. Eunho also excels at her campus. She's the top of her cello class. Eunho got a chance to play with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at her senior year. She flew to Austria to be trained there. It's her original dream to go to Austria, and somehow she made it. After graduation, Eunho will play regularly for Berlin Music Institute. They both most likely will stay at Berlin from this point forward. 

It's always fascinating for Chaeyoung to see Eunho plays the cello. It's the first thing that makes her fall in love with the girl. In her graduation gown, Eunho plays the cello alone, all the spotlight goes for her. Chaeyoung could feel her tears as she looks at her to the stage. She loves the girl so hard.

From the crowd outside, Eunho then finds a way to see Chaeyoung who bring her bouquet of flowers. Chaeyoung hugs the girl and gives her a kiss on the cheek. Chaeyoung let her celebrate the day with her friends, later they will have dinner together, Chaeyoung already booked a restaurant outside the city. A quiet restaurant.
